  1. Didn't realise but when was Marcelo Moreno Martins a Wiganer? Was decent when i seen him for Bolivia, got a brace against Brasil including a pearler of a FK.
  2. Doesn't look fit plus they can't get the ball to him due the high pressure from Barca in the Arsenal defence/midfield thirds.
  3. Arsenal cos its on poor mans tele.
  4. Guerrero's record isn't great. Isn't great but it isn't bad either. 27 goals in about 90 games. I think he would be the right sort of player we should be looking for. 1 in 3 is a very decent record IMO. speaking of Peruvian strikers. Remember Jefferson Farfan? doesn`t seem to be as prolific at Schalke unlike his PSV days but haven`t seen much of him lately. His strike partner ,Kuranyi is in excellent form (and available on a free ) Been playing on the wing i think. Interesting. The little town he is from has produced Luis Suarez and Edison Cavani too. Must have put something in the water circa 86/87.
  5. Quick list of reasonable attainable & available free's from david28's link.... England Bouma, Ridgewell, Lawrence, Cohen, Andranik, Ledley, Whittingham, Bodde, Kebe, Beckford, Shelvey France M.Dabo, Clerc, Perrin, Ebondo, Feghouli Germany Guererro, Hasebe, Altintop (x2), Hillbert Spain Diego Costa, Albin, Godin Italy Coda, Biabiany, Biaginati, Martinez, Consigli
  6. Berbatov really has a chance to shine now for Man United. Bet Owen is gutted.
  7. You are right about talent but his tiny frame would hardly be suited to the English game Aye i know he makes Messi big, strange how all the Argie players are short arses, defenders included, can't remember them being short as a whole when there.
  8. This. Work permits become an issue for anyone that isn't an established international. Completely different style of game too so adaptability would be an issue. ... and attitude of Brazilian players. Sometimes they're fat and unmotivated after they got the big money. Sometimes they simply go home because some of their relatives had died or something like that. There are without a doubt some hidden gems of talented footballers over there. IMO of the South American countries, the Argies/Paraguayans (harder working/used to the cooler climate - well the Argies anyway) are perhaps better suited to the EPL in comparison to the other countries like the Brazilians/Colombian players. As for the work permit issue, you are right. A higher proportion of Argentine players have (legitimate!) Spanish / Italian (in particular) passports though compared to the other countries though. Hope we don`t dismiss the idea of looking over there. Certainly there are some potential bargains to be had. Could add Chile/Uruguay to that list n all. For me the main problem with buying direct from South America would be making sure the players had the stamina/physicality in their game to cope with British football, from what i saw when i was over there the game is a lot slower, the ball is nearly always passed out from the back, defenders seemed to be encouraged to take risks to avoid just booting it long. On a related note its a shame Diego Buonanotte was in that car crash as he looked some talent.

  10. As hillarious as it would be to see them throw away promotion, I'd love to eventually have Leeds back in the premiership. They are a storied club with great following. Aye agree. They're definately a club that belongs in the top flight. I used to enjoy our games with them too, especially in the Sir Bobby Era. I agree, but the grief i got in our relegation season from Leeds fans at my old work down there means I'd love them to rot.
  11. Anyone got a link to all the players out of contract so we can have a look at who we could be linked with and then not get? Out of your list macca, only Scharner & Driver i'd like to see here. Fox won't come as back up, Wheater is shit and no better than what we have and would cost a bit, Hibbert is shit period, Maynard is no better than Lovenkrands.
  12. Disco

    I miss Mourinho

Classic taking the attention away from the team onto himself before a big game.
  13. Olic is like a much better version of Lovenkrands.
  14. Mokoena is turboshit mush Belhadj is off to Russia Boateng will be off before we get in there.
  15. Good to see everyone getting Perch in based on one good half of football. We might as well get Miles Addison while we're at it.
  16. Can't see it like unfortunately. Can see them getting overrun in the middle of the park. & HJ Butt/Vn Buyten/Demichelis ain't the most reliable Ribery should piss all over Gaz Nev though.
  17. Bayern Munich: Butt, Lahm, Van Buyten, Demichelis, Badstuber, Altintop, Van Bommel, Pranjic, Ribery, Muller, Olic. Subs: Rensing, Gorlitz, Klose, Contento, Alaba, Gomez, Tymoschuk. Man Utd: Van der Sar, Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, Carrick, Scholes, Nani, Park, Rooney. Subs: Kuszczak, Berbatov, Giggs, Rafael Da Silva, Jonathan Evans, Valencia, Gibson. Shame baldy Arjen ain't playing but should be a good game.
  18. New Aussie team Melbourne Heart have gone for a very poor choice of colours. http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/melbourne-heart-10-11-home-reebok-shirt-3.jpg
  19. That midfield (especially the 2 cm's) would get absolutely murdered in the premier league. Yup, need at least on destroyer in the midfield when we're going to be scrapping for points and inferior footballing wise to most teams next season. Not a chance, Keane is finished in the topflight whereas Rodallega has been decent this season - nt that he'd move here.
  20. Any news on the charvas ankle injury? If he is out, Best in for him, reckon we'll create a few chances in this one and it'd be good if he could get a goal plus no need to rush Sholagoals back.
  21. doesn't he knock about with Evra and (insert other player here) a lot so i guess they need a common language. Tevez used to part of their group. Aye thats the one, wonder how they get by, as Tevez's English ain't the best either.
  22. well 3 of those players won't be playing for us next season.
  23. doesn't he knock about with Evra and (insert other player here) a lot so i guess they need a common language.
  24. If he played Etherington-Pugh-Faye-Lawrence Tuncay Fuller He could play some really good football. But i suppose he probably would get relegated trying that. On a side note, you in London Wednesday for the Arsenal match by any slight chance Village Idiot? We could hold hands skipping around Highbury. You seem to forget that Pugh and especially Faye are absolutely fucking gash though. Whelan has been one of their star performers this season as well. Sidibe on the other hand, dear god he's poor. Clearly only getting a game because he is tall.
  25. He must shit £20 notes or the Swedish equivilant that fella.
