    2010 World Cup

Aren't they flogging off loads of cheap tickets to locals compared to vastly more expensive comparative tickets for fans of countries taking part that aren't Sirth Ifrika
  2. You wanna steal their sarnies. Two birds with one stone.
  3. Would've thought with the amount of fit birds you see on net from Ukraine they could've got some better models in. Those Betis tops look fake as fuck too. Like the neck on that Independiente top
  4. It's funny because I said I thought we'd beat Pompey at home I obviously think we'll t*** Everton and either of Arsenal and Chelsea! Edit: Forgot what I came here to say. I hate the fact that the semis are at Wembley. Plenty of people whinge about the clubs ruining the FA cup but that completely fecks up the attraction of getting to a Wembley final. It's wonderful to be in a cup final, but there's nothing special about the stadium if you played there a month earlier. I agree, it degrades the final. Villa Park and Old Trafford should hold the semi's but that doesn't pay the debt off from the new stadium. Wank playing semis at Wembley. Hope Arsenal win the cup. No particular reason why.

  6. We did play reserve games there for a while.
  7. That documentary lookslike it could be decent It does mate. I'll be tuning in. What documentary is that lads ? Brian Clough one on ITV. Don't think it said when it'd be on.

  9. Oh, come on. Even though that nonsense is a genuine quote, no one believed any such thing. Most supporters expected more than we got, though, as that was what we were made to believe. Van Buyten would've been class alongside Seba.

    Mirandinha

Ridiculous to think he was the first Brazilian to play in England.
  11. If Kinnear gets the job then i'd blame no one for leaving. No one. The club would officially be going absolutely nowhere. Know what your saying. If JFK stays i don't blame any of our players for seeking a move problem is it'll only be the ones we want to stay that will leave we'll still be left with the shit in the squad such as Duff, Shola, Butt etc etc.
  12. Hope to fuck this cunt doesn't leave if we stay up.

    Mark Viduka

I think so but regardless i think those transfer have still scoped Ashleys outlook.
  14. They've already been done. I've got a mate who works for adidas in Germany. All kit designs bar sponsor are done at least a year in advance.

sooner the better, his transfer has turned into pretty much everything a lot thought it would be. Big wages, doesn't care, never fit, money that could've been better allocated elsewhere (on the team). Although he did help keep us up it's no different to what he did when he went on a little run for Boro prior to us signing to him. The signing of overpaid, under performing and/or injury prone players like Viduka are why Ashley took the whole DOF/ Dennis Wise trip. If we get relegated and Kinnear remains our manager its all Viduka's fault - we have a real scapegoat at last Shows Ashleys ignorance/stupidity in the early days then as the signings of Smith & Duke were never going to be anything but how they've turned out (although Smith has probably been worse than expected - we didn't really need either) To be serious for a moment - a lot of the crap that the club is going through now stemmed from the signings in the Allardyce transfer window and the owners reaction to preventing it happening again. It's weird because Sam has a track record of doing decent business in the market. Did it go wrong because he didn't get who he wanted (takeover going on etc), couldn't hack it at our level or was it just our luck that he f*cked up whilst on our case? However you look at it Viduka was certainly a player he wanted and was not on his B list. Fucked up IMO. Just the profile here was a lot bigger when he did fuck up then when he was at Bolton. Some of the signings he made there fucked up just as badly. Jardel springs to mind

    The loan system

Helder & Distin probably the only two. Never understood why we didn't buy Fat Helder. Good player. Another one of a list of s**** players whos scored past the mackems for us too. Providing we don't go down and continue this academy stuff i'd imagine our loan numbers would start to go up considerably too. So did you think he was good or shit? Good player. I blame the shandies
  17. Done, 17 confirmed unless I've missed anyone out by accident. Cheers fella
  18. Who's confirmed for this then? Can we have an OP update?
  19. It's because of the loan system If they weren't good enough to get a game at a club, they'd go somewhere where they were good enough, get a proper game and get some real TLC as they developed. The current situation is that the big clubs snap up all kids indiscriminantly, fuck them all off on loan and hope they get a good one back to justify their 'investment'. It's all bollocks. Rich get richer. You have a point, but it's not just down to the clubs, we can't absolve the players totally from all responsibility, they don't have to sign up with those clubs when they know they're not going to get a game. For example, I have no respect whatsoever for players like Shaun Wright Philips, Steve Sidwell and so-on, who signed for teams like Chelsea and put grabbing a quick buck before their own professional development, when they claim that they didn't get a chance. It's bollocks, they knew they were going to end up in the reserves, everyone knew it and so it came to pass. They can't then whinge about it afterwards. I absolutely agree with you on those players, I'm looking younger though. 'Big 4' all having 10+ youngsters out on loan for instance, there's no way they need all those players. They just take them because they can. It's a shame imo, very rare that class / exciting youngsters are at a lower club beyond 16 these days. Those that are will be snapped up when they come through anyways - Scott Sinclair, Theo Walcott, John Bostock (to an extent)
  20. I seem to remeber to City playing in a silver and luminous yellow kit that makes that look like an Armani suit.

  23. Umbro contract come to an end? Le Coq are abysmal, see Citys kits for examples.
