sooner the better, his transfer has turned into pretty much everything a lot thought it would be. Big wages, doesn't care, never fit, money that could've been better allocated elsewhere (on the team). Although he did help keep us up it's no different to what he did when he went on a little run for Boro prior to us signing to him.

correct. Make the cups in Europe as they were circa early nineties and it'd be a lot of problems solved.
-
Only just realised this isn't tomorrow. Was quite looking forward to it too.

Step forward Portsmouth Football Club

Don't think he is good enough offensively for the Spain team yet. Capdevilla and Ramos are virtually wingers for them with the 4 narrow in midfield they play. Can't be far off a squad call up though if he keeps it up.

I will still play providing KO time isn't too late as I am flying to Tokyo on the 18th. Young right footed Hugo Viana type without the ability i am.

True Faith pretty much spot on with their assessment... Despite Man Utd. playing some very tidy football this season, and being by far the best team in the league, it is still very easy to despise them. With players like Ronaldo, Rooney and Ferdinand in their ranks, it makes them about as likeable as the clap. Not that I’m disputing their talents, they are all just the type of player that riles opposition supporters with their antics. Take Ferdinand for example, always sticking his oar in. He had no right getting involved in the spat between Taylor and the funny looking Portuguese lass on the wing. Bennett quite rightly booked him when other refs would surely have turned a blind eye. As a whole I think we played pretty well and was really disappointed that we didn’t get a draw. Some might say that they weren’t firing on all cylinders, but I don’t think we let them at times as we really got stuck in and had a go. My good friend Gala commented before the game that we’ve got to go and have a go at them at the start of the game because we cannot sit back and guard a 0-0 for 90 minutes. He was right, and this reaped it’s reward when we took the lead after some shoddy defending and goalkeeping. Our heads t6old us that it wouldn’t last, and it didn’t. But I think we were really unlucky not to come away with anything. The night was pissed on even more when we learnt that Stoke and Hull managed to win, making the next game at Hull so, so crucial if we are to retain our Premier League status. Their fans…well they’re loud. They have quite a few songs (given that they win a trophy every month, it’s quite easy to make new ones up). Quite why they went for the Alan Shearer ditty is beyond me. Bitter pill to swallow when the greatest English striker of all time turns you down? You’d have thought they would have got over it by now? They even sang Andy Cole songs. Hilarious eh? They forgot the “Fergie Out!” banners they used to decorate Old Trafford and fanzine covers with a few years ago though. Rumour has it a few missiles were being chucked on the folks behind me from Level 7, not for the first time this season. A very funny thing happened outside the stadium. They were all strutting out in their best Madchester walk, when one bloke in a Parker took offence to one of our lot calling him something I couldn’t possibly repeat here. He tried to jump through the police barricade only to bounce of some burly copper and land flat on his arse. Spanner. Whilst they’re annoying, they’re probably the best away fans from London. 5 out of 10 (marks deducted for chucking stuff). Keep on, Keepin’ On … Steve Farrell Ed: Hartlepool Reds? Durham Reds? Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!

Martins is one of most salable assets Course he fuckin will. He could easily move to bigger/better club now nevermind if we go down. He's also possibly the player we'd get most money for. Ashley wouldnt tolerate his wages in the Championship (the main reason so many would have to learn - as alluded to in the OP)
-
If we couldn't sell we'd probably try and negotiate a wast to pay Duff off. You can't have someone on his crazy wages in the Championship. Not a hope in hell Jose will stay either. S.Taylor will be a decent buy for Wigan or someone.

If Owen is fit, he will be a major help to us. Can score goals, and that's something we could always use. I hate him. If we are relying on Owen to keep us up then we will definitely be relegated. He's our top scorer at the moment and before tonight had scored about 1/3 of our league goals. I for one will be glad when he's back to be honest. He's also a want away who couldn't care less about what happens to this club as he'll be happily off in the summer. Started to be a complete passenger for a while before his injury. Obviously no longer gives a s***. I wouldn't drop Lovenkrands or Martins for him. Owen guarantees goals man. It's a shame there isn't a feasable way to incorperate the four of Jonas/Lovenkrands/Owen/Martins... we'd have a lot of pace to work with then. he certainly guarentees 1 goal in 8, if his record before injury is owt to go by And yet he's still our top scorer and has been for ages. hardly difficult when: a)he's our penalty taker b) we have one other premiership striker in the squad, who's been out for 3 months Like i said the other night ,If owen was fit we would have taken Bolton apart That's ridiculous by the way. Owen is good, but no striker would have done well vs. Bolton. We didn't have one moment of coherent attacking play throughout the entire match. We would have barely seen Owen if he played vs. Bolton. Owen wouldn't have torn them apart but he would've finished Martins' chances. You honestly don't think Owen would've finished Martins' header? Which was basically a sitter. Owen is probably the best header-er of the ball we have (see how many headed goals he scores) and the reason he hardly scored before his injury is because we hardly created any chances, when he gets chances more often than not he scores, hence his better goal scoring record. I'd ******* hate it if some of the people on here picked the team. Owen was missing sitters like it was going out of fashion in the winter

Providing no-one is injured i'd agree with that.
-
That's putting it mildly, he was immense tonight. To out skill and out strength Rooney, leaving him flat on his arse, is no mean feat and he did a combination of that a few times. Considering who they had at LB, I thought our own was by far the best on the night. Keeps getting better and I love his attitude and the way he keeps surprising us with that pace and strength of his. Those skills as well. Him and Jonas link up quite decently and it was no coincidence that Ronaldo stayed wide left because he'd have had a torrid time trying to escape from Jonas and Enrique and would have actually had to defend himself. I can't be fucked to type that much but aye my post was short version of that.
-
True, still horrific like. He went to do him there.
-
Done a very good job. West Ham play some very nice stuff these days as there goal tonight showed. Showing faith in youth (Noble & Collison) too.
-
Haha, Neil and Cattermole as bad as each other.
-
Fuck me. Goal of the season contender from West Ham. Liquid football and finish
-
Agree with all of that HTT.
-
Another good performance tonight.

Fuller hasnt been starting, has been Sidibe Decent partnership tho i agree Yeh i know, but i think they compliment eachother so well, and not in that 'big man little man' way. Sidibe looks pretty shite to me tbh. He is, awful player. The fact he is tall is about his only redeeming feature. Still its working for Stoke, as ugly as there football is.

"Is there a better alround player in the league?" on Robbie Keane. Motson needs to leave off the acid.
-
Nice to see Bojinov back for City, be interesting to see how he does for them if he doesn't knack himself again.

Few spare seats in the Villa end - suprising

Harsh pen on Villa that. SWP kicks his foot with his other under pressure from Jimmy Milner.
