From what I saw it essentially started out as a 4-4-2 but it seemed obvious that KK told Oba to get forward and support them as much as possible. When he did this Joey Barton was then going out left quite a lot to cover there and then in the 2nd half we saw Owen dropping deeper to give further support to midfield when Oba was up front. It worked well in the 2nd half and for me is a good way of utilising our best players in a workable formation.

I'm impressed by him. Him and Beye are solid fullbacks, pretty good defenders and always willing to go forward too. I can see them getting better with a settled team hopefully next season and being very good for us.

He was really pissing me off. So was the other guy.

Have you been watching NUFC this season, at all? Eh? If we were a tad less lucky, it would have, and it has happened before (us losing momentum then conceding one shortly after). Except it'd be more like 4 points since we'd give up one and gave them 3 more. I disagree. He took N'Zogbia on for a number of reasons which are pretty obvious. We didn't look any more likely to concede when he came on either. It's not like in the last 10 mins we were extremely lucky. A Point is precious right now against a team battling like us who have had some excellent results recently.

Absolutely clueless management!!!!! Martins should seriously start considering his options next season. The guy is struggling to get a game when he's clearly the best option up front. When he begins to get some confidence the managers usually do their best to destroy it. Get lost. It got us an important point. The last time we had a team pegged back for a significant period of time, we crumbled and conceded on the break. Lost the game in the flash. No need risking it again. Maybe he should have taken Viduka off rather than Oba, but Viduka could hold it up. It was a frustrating sub but in our circumstances it wasn't worth risking getting caught out on the break (again). It probably cost us 2 points...WTF are we doing playing for a draw against Birmingham? Football is a pretty simple game. Martins should have been the last person subtituted in my opinion. Don't be so stupid ffs, he came off with what 13 mins to go or something? It didn't cost us 2 points and we weren't playing for a draw against them, we were merely making sure we didn't lose the game with 10 mins to go. Which is pretty fucking clever considering where we are in the league?

I actually thought defensively Barton did really well, he had a few excellent tackles that broke up his play but as someone said in an attacking sense he was an abortion.

I agree with him. Yep. his general play was very, very good.

Geremi's corners and crosses baffled me because barely a month ago he was swinging in some fantastic crosses for Cameroon from the same positions. Just an off day I think although I though his overall play was good.

All in all if it wasn't for individual errors - Faye fucking up, Owen missing a good chance and for me Viduka failing to play in Owen or Martins when he was through, we would of won the game. Very positive for me.

Would rather take a point than risk another Blackburn tbh. Yep. This wasn't the game to throw everything at them for the win.

Absolutely terrible. I can't remember one time where he made an easy pass look easy. If he made it at all. How he stayed on is beyond me. His passing was honestly probably the worst i have ever seen from a midfielder. Overall credit to KK for whatever he said at half time because we were much, much better

Good result, if we can build from the majority of that 2nd half then that's much better. Martins and Butt were our star players for me.

I think Martins playing more centrally is what gave us extra impetus. He's much better through the middle than he is out wide. Vids and Barton should have been subbed. Yeah maybe I'm just offering a possible reason from KK.

Stick him up front instead of Viduka. Just play him alongside Owen. Hardly rocket science. Yes but it would still disrupt the team more than has to be done with a straight position for position swap.

I can understand the sub, Martins was drifting out of position a lot in the past 15 mins. Rather than disrupt the team anymore than he needed to he took him off i think. Martins has been our best though.

Butt is knackered now. No wonder.

Except his crossing which for Cameroon seems to be 10000000x better.

Would take Owen off for N'Zogbia.
