Isn't it lovely when you can spin a negative out of a glaring positive. You must have such self-esteem. Only one person started Best ahead of him, and it wasn't me. Nor did I ever advocate keeping him out of the starting lineup for this game, or any other I can think of. Right just to clarify your position. I'm aware that you wanted HBA to start on the wing (as most of us would agree), but that's just not gonna happen under Pardew for whatever delusional reason he has. Now if you never advocated Best over HBA to partner Ba, then why were you incessantly banging on that Ba plays better with a striker upfront? So if its not Best as the other striker upfront, then were you advocating for Ameobi to play upfront with Ba? Actually you even went as far to say that we won't win if HBA plays behind Ba and that we should stick with what has been working for us early on (i.e. Best + Ba). Personally I think you're just not willing to accept that you were wrong with Best + Ba after this supposedly superior combo drew blanks in the last 3 games against mediocre opponents. But I'll at least give you the chance to clarify your position, and try doing it without including petty personal insults, not like that's gonna happen like. And before you start, no I'm not trolling you.

That's dumb. Of course if we buy a good player who complements Ba upfront when he comes back from ACN, then one could then argue that Ba plays better with this new striker. But that wasn't the point you were making, you insisted that we're better off and Ba plays better when we have two upfront knowing full well that Best will be partnering him Arthritic finger, worst comeback on this manly forum
-
So what you're saying is that we should sacrifice points by playing inferior players to HBA because in the long run not starting him (even after he scores) is gonna be better for his confidence. Brilliant!
-
In what position? Same position I've always wanted him in. Because you're not man enough to admit that Ba doesnt necessarily play better with your 2 man upfront theory?
-
Ya because according to Pardew's fucked up logic, performing in training is more important than in actual matches. Of course that gives him the convenience of always insisting that HBA is not at his best since almost no fans know what happens in training. Really beginning to hate Pardew now, at least the way he is managing HBA
-
Is it just me or is Pardew's statement meant to emphasize that he still sees HBA as a squad player i.e. that he will start on the bench and only play when we need to change the match, in which case Pardew is a class A cunt!

Don't quite understand the point you're trying to make JH. Which part are intelligent people getting wrong? People like Dalglish and Aldridge seemingly supporting racist behaviour by painting Suarez as the victim in all of this and peddling s*** excuses like "It was simply a miscommunication" or "His grandad is black". These people are supposed to have brain cells. Yet it appears they've lost the plot. Cheers, this cultural difference defense is bullshit because every racist word in one part of the world could be argued to be 'normal' in another part of the world. For racist words, what matters is what the society in the place/country that you're working in thinks of the word not some bloke from some far flung place in another continent. As for KD and Aldridge, they do have brain cells and deep down, I'm sure they know that what Suarez did was wrong. They are just unwilling to put club bias secondary to social norms, completely void of leadership. This is what differentiates a true knight, football gentleman and a respectable public figure like SBR and wannabes like KD and even Fergie...etc. SBR would have stood out against racism even if it was perpetrated by his own player.

Did we? I remember that quite a few including people like Mick coming out and saying that he should be sold if proven that he struct Taylor. I didn't hear many people calling Chris Hughton a "c***" after he played him in our next game, like. You have a point but I think that is still acceptable in the sense that the whole affair was kept under wraps and treated as an internal matter. We didn't have Hughton coming out saying, yup Carroll knocked Taylor's jaw off and we all support him regardless. This is exactly what KD is doing by coming out to support Suarez after he has been proven guilty. The message is clear, the commission thinks he is guilty of saying racist words but we think it's all right and we'll support him regardless. Oh and by the way we also support the 'kick racism out of football campaign'. Utterly despicable.

To be honest its KD who has been building this siege mentality of the world against us. There's a way to support your player's right to appeal without showing your complete disrespect to the anti racism campaign and being an outright cunt. FA should come down hard on KD for creating all this nonsense, its the manager who calls the shot and he should know better.

R http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-16309990 Barnes is such an idiot, he contradicts himself a two or three times in the one statement, also he blatantly wouldn't be saying this if it was a player from a different club. Right so zero tolerance but when a player admits to saying racist words, it becomes a witch hunt. What a fool, shame on him to put his former club above racism especially from a colored player! Boils my blood
-
The one to be blame here is KD. He asked the players or at the very least did not prevent the players from doing the despicable act and then came out defending the action when interviewed. Players were just following orders higher up and given the general IQ of footballers these days, asking one to stand up and say no is already too much to ask

Wonder how often that is going to keep happening? Only had the fluid drained two or three month back didn't he? Poor lad, 20 and his knees are f***ed already! too much masturbation, that's why!

Is this based on anything more than a figment of your imagination? Post-Ramadan goals scored by our strike 'pairing'... Ba + Best/Shola WBA: 2 Swansea: 0 Norwich: 2 Everton: 0 Stoke: 3 Wigan: 0 Spurs: 2 Wolves: 1 Blackburn: 3 Villa: 1 QPR: 0 Ba+HBA Chelsea: 0 Man Utd: 1 Man City: 0 Blackburn: 0 Nothing scientific by a long shot, but it's more than plausible that the extra 'big unit' up front creates a bit of extra space for Ba to work his magic. Sorry nothing personal but I hate when people make sweeping generalization like this without analyzing context. The quality of teams in those two lists obviously differs with Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea the most difficult team we'll face. Not scoring against them proves nothing. Plus this big man + Ba have not delivered lately against Swansea and West Brom. Instead it was the HBA + Ba combo that created our last open play goal.
-
Then why did you advocate 4-4-2 with Hatem on the wing? He's a better player with someone up top with him than without, whoever it is. And would you seriously play him as a lone striker given our midfield's (including Hatem) seriously underwhelming goal stats? Thought not. Pipe down. So you notice that our midfield (including Hatem) has seriously underwhelming goal stats. And what about Best's stats? When was his last goal and assist? The argument that he helps Ba play better is bollocks coz we drew a blank against Swansea and against West Brom, Ba's field goal was from a HBA reverse pass. Best did not help Ba score against Swansea and did not help him with either of his goals against West Brom.
-
What this about Ronaldo saying that if we play HBA then we won't win against Swansea and now we should stick to the Best & Ba combo? Well we tried the said combination both against Swansea and WBA who let's face it we should be beating especially at home and it didn't work. So please stuff this tried and tested argument back to where it belongs, it's not working lately and time for a change. If Pardew insist that HBA for some weird reason can't play on the wing, then he should play behind Ba. Best can be 3rd choice or maybe 4th depending on which Ameobi decides to turn up on a particulat given day.
-
I think Pardew's intention is quite clear. As long as the number 9 is not filled, fans will be expecting a big name to be bought in. Convert Ba to our number 9 (which he deserves) and hopefully we can get a mediocre cheapish second striker or better still none at all and fans would not be constantly reminded of this by the absence of the number 9. I'm serious, just a bit surprised that Dave and Mick have not picked up on this.
-
The thing with creative players like HBA, the more they don't play, the more they will want to prove themselves and take risks which of course will result in him losing the ball more often. This was a good game to be comfortable with basic play whilst taking some risk that would have likely came off, so AP decision not to play him is fucked up in more ways than one!
-
This is not even one of those talent vs work rate argument. Admittedly HBA does lose the ball a few times but when he does he really works hard to get it back and is not one to bottle a tackle. HBA isn't one of those aloof strikers who just wait up the pitch for the ball to come to him, he gets involve and is dam passionate about the team (running back to warn cunt Rooney when he whacked Colo). If the argument is that he has to play in the hole behind two strikers, then seriously how many games are we gonna play with that formation???
-
Dont worry Raylor will replace him when he is fit again. Pardew just have no clue when it comes to evaluating players' performance!
-
The most annoying part of all this is that when asked about HBA, Pardew will say something like the boy is special and he can do things that others can't......bla bla bla. Then come match day he puts on untested youngsters on when we need to win. Its like there's two Pardews, the one who does the interview on HBA and the one who manages the team on match day or he is just a fucking liar!

Jesus wept. Yes you can go weeping with Jesus!

It's time like this that I fucking hate Pardew! This is Souness vs Robert all over again. Just fuck off Pardew!
