Thought he had a bad game today. Expected more leadership from him, instead got caught with ball over the top several times and he too was guilty of persisting with playing so high up.
-
we seem to be caught on the counter way too easily. Santon lucky in the first half, we were caught with a ball over Coloccini for the penalty and outnumbered for the second goal. Defenders have to be more disciplined
-
How can that possibly be? He needs to be more energetic and up his work rate or some shit like that!
-
There's no way we are gonna get another striker man and nor should we. I'm quite happy with Best as our no 3. The thing is a squad can always be improved and as fans we are always asking for more, it just never ends. Get a CB and nobody out and we're good to sustain a top 6/7 challenge this season.
-
so meaning no further incoming or outgoing?
-
Someone should hold Pards by the scruff of his neck and ask him "what do you mean by his energy and his workrate needs to improve?". And it's not like we have 11 Jonas on the pitch, he's alternative are players like Obertan, Taylor and even Ameobi who surely is the worst example of energy and workrate! I'm sick of this shit
-
Hope neither of them comes back injured. It would be so cruel yet so typical of Newcastle!
-
and statement like that without taking into account the opponents is not only "malignant nonsense" but stage 4 cancer to be honest!
-
You're right bout the positive quotes, not quite sure I like the sound of "the coach likes the long, direct game. He often says, "cross it in the box" though
-
What? So just because we are doing well, Pardew is immune to criticisms? I'll remember next time you open your mouth on him. You must be one of the few numpties who thinks that Pardew is doing a fantastic job managing HBA especially when he starts the likes of Obertan and Raylor ahead of him Given that he is the closest we have to a genuine playmaker i.e. someone that can make things happen, him playing regularly is linked to the team doing well, his interest and the team's are not exclusive of each other, in fact I'd suggest there's a fairly strong correlation.

Bobby would have played him every game and told everybody how good he was, they would have loved each other. Its times like this that makes me really miss Bobby and demonstrates the gulf of difference between Bobby and wannabes like Pards. Apart from his preference for Bowyer over Solano towards the end, Bobby was always spot on in the way he managed flair players. He would have gotten the best out of HBA and let him play his natural game, Pardew's constant negative sound bytes is just going to inhibit his game and at can be demotivating
-
I've lost all my faith in Pardew now, getting up in the position we are in now is great but not giving a change to one of the most talented players we've had in years just vitiates any praise he deserves. He can fuck off!
-
My problem with Pardew's constant comments about HBA's work rate is that it reenforces the narrative that skilfull/flair players are lazy fuckers. Granted that HBA is no Jonas when it comes to tracking back (very few wingers are mind you), but the times I've seen him play, when he loses the ball, he works hard to get it back. In that sense, he almost has the same intensity of Rooney i.e. the 'how dare you get the ball from me'. In fact I dare say he does more than useless Obertan in getting the ball back and to suggest Ameobi works harder really makes Pardew look like a silly arsehole! HBA is certainly no Robert and even if he was, I don't really give a fuck as long as he scores and provides assists. Pardew's criticism is not only tedious and potentially demotivating, it's also patently false
-
One of the best replies I've seen!
-
I might be looking too much into it, but it wasn't very nice to see tbh. Maybe that's why HBA had the 'quiet' finger on mouth celebration? Some of the things Pardew does with HBA reminds me on Soueness & Robert although it hasn't quite gone that bad....yet

Are you joking? Everything he did at the math yesterday he did at blistering speed. It was a flipping joy to behold to be honest! Take a deep breath and digest what I said again... There is degrees of pace... And yesterday was not what I would class as blistering... Which I'm trying to highlight he had in his locker over a short/medium distance before his injury... Not saying he's not quick... Not saying he's not skilful... Just saying he's not the player he was... Yet... Were you at the game? On several occasions yesterday he displayed pace very close to, if not on par with what he showed against Everton. I'm no fanboy by the way. Check my previous posts re Ben Arfa if you need. Just thought he was tremendous yesterday. Which is exactly what I'm saying... I.E. not quite like what he was like against Blackpool/Everton/Stoke... Not saying the lad is a million miles away... I reiterate... It's a shame we missed watching him develope for us in the team for a year and that now he's returned he's not as quick over those first 10-15 yards... So what you're saying is that he was quicker. The thing is for most of us, it's hard to imagine him being quicker/faster especially seeing the way he ran for the goal

Ass Dave pointed out: This: http://cheik.tiote.swellserver.com/news/top_stories/auto80.php Can be this: http://alpal78.swellserver.com/news/top_stories/auto80.php Canny morbid, really. Cheers mate for clarifying and killing me all in one post!

Can we get more update on this? Kind of worrying, don't know which news to believe
-
Just report the fucker Venkman and request the club to keep your report anonymous. Even if they are not kicked out, it could be anybody within an earshot.
-
And why we're you looking in that area?
-
Agree. First really poor run in a year and people want rid of him. He'll be able to re-organise and get us back to playing football soon enough, that I'm sure of. Needs to learn from mistakes now. I think Santon ahead of RT is a given now tbh. Who has said they want rid of him? err maybe scrolling up to the previous page will help you, just guessing like
-
as usual just boring sarcasm without making any point. Do you have one?
-
Whilst I sort of appreciate the honesty, this reeks of an invitation for other clubs to put in offers. It's times like this that I absolutely hate Pardew. Ya maybe his hands are tied by the fat regime but he could at least try harder to keep our core. If we can keep Tiote, Cabaye, Colo (with a new contract), Ba and get a defender plus a striker (even on loan), I will already consider our transfer window a moderate success, that's how low my expectations have become!
-
what is even more amazing for me with Ba is that none of our players are providing the assist. In fact according to Soccernet (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/stats/assists/_/league/eng.1/barclays-premier-league?cc=4716), none of our players even have 4 assists to date. This would point to the fact that Ba is creating chances for himself most of the times
-
I know right. The stupid boy got an assist, but it was the wrong assist! Yes coz that what is being said. Look at the replay, what is being said is that he had loads of time and space to put the ball in early, coz Tiote's pass had taken out the nearest defender to him. Instead when in acres of space, he checked back did a few step overs and then puts it in. Fair enough he got the assist but if he keeps slowing down the play and not putting the ball in early, then he won't get too many. New rule that we can't criticize a player if he gets an assist?
