  1. He's made himself look an absolute fool after his comments at the end of last season, the press will have a field day when it happens, his words "the blame stops at my door". Aye he made those comments but then he has released his latest interview absolving himself of all blame, apparently you have to align the sun, the moon and the stars to be successful... It has nothing to do with hiring garbage like Denis Wise, Joe Kinnear x2, Colin Calderwood, Alan Pardew, Derek Llambias and promoting a pleb like Charnley. Not forgetting all garbage players that have been picked up from internet searches. Yeah its pure magic how teams are successful. Well put.
  2. I wonder how many times McClaren missed a trick by failing to build on momentum and not changing a promising or winning side. West Ham game sticks out to me like a sore thumb, when the whole team actually looked great but we dropped and chopped and changed the side at Watford as if we were playing fucking Barcelona. And he kept doing that throughout his tenure. Momentum, as we've seen with Leicester, is huge for confidence, especially in average to shit players (i.e. our entire team).
  3. This one's entirely on Carr and Charnley, again.
  4. I don't get this whole 'back him / the team' stuff. What the fuck else can we do? We've been backing these cunts for fucking 20 years of my watching football
  5. Is this a serious post? Is this what we've come to, as a team placed 19th in the table in April, party due to the same guy who never should've been signed as the sole striker to do exactly the opposite of what you're describing? I'm sure we'll all be happy he's getting into positions, shooting at the keeper, etc., when we head to the Championship and he leaves to some other club. Of course it's serious You rather a striker that shoots on target or off target. Can't be abusing him now can we I like the kid, have a soft spot for him, but can't hit a fucking barndoor half the time, while other times he looks very promising. Wrong timing, wrong signing. Bad for him, and us.

  7. Looks like a bullet hole. One of Mitro's mishit shots leaving its mark.
  8. We need him on the right or not in the team at all. He can't seem to hack it anywhere else.
  9. Yep. Never understood the relegation brigade as he didn't sell us the last time we went down. It was never a given he'd leave if we went down.
  10. So we signed him to play all those positions? Pretty sure he was signed to replace the orient-bound Tiote who suffered from a change of heart. To play in defensive midfield.
  11. That bit of space that Wini / Janmeet played him into on the right wing and he looked completely off their wavelength was a bit worrying, but you could see the former player reprimanding him for not reading it, so hopefully he develops a connection with Janmaat as he plays there more. I would still switch him and Sissoko, as the latter has only ever looked good on the right.
  12. Why exactly hasn't he been used after looking decent in the limited time he's been given? Against Sunderland we cried out for a defensive midfielder as they were eating up space for fun and Shelvey was being pegged deeper and deeper.
  13. You can't argue that he wasn't first half. Missed his opportunity to play through the middle For some reason, Sunderland were absolutely killing us in the middle of the park.
  14. based on what?! The only way he should be in the team is with someone like Perez linking up with him. Plus Perez has actually scored 5 goals for us this season and needs the confidence to keep playing from a new manager. De Jong has done f*** all for us this season. Based on Perez being constantly outmuscled in the middle by Kirchoff and wanting too many touches in congested areas probably. de Jong was more effective in the centre due to his size and the way he looks to move the ball quickly. If Perez is to stay in the side, he's better suited to playing on the left imo. Yep, agree with that. Perez seems to be more suited running down the left channels.
  15. based on what?! The only way he should be in the team is with someone like Perez linking up with him. Plus Perez has actually scored 5 goals for us this season and needs the confidence to keep playing from a new manager. De Jong has done fuck all for us this season. Based on the fact he's better. Perez should be used as an impact sub against tired legs. Don't think so, I'm still to be convinced De Jong can hack it in this league. Slow, lumbered, and even if you take out the fact that he's made of glass, his excellent close control and intelligent mind seems to stop our forward play as opposed to enhance it. Again, I think he deserves a chance, but not in the place of Perez who brings a different dimension to our attacking play (or A dimension), and deserves to be on the left far more than Townsend or Sissoko.
  16. This, although I wonder who we can play instead of Sissoko or would simply moving him back to the right wing be better. Our wing play in general is abysmal.
  17. Yep. You know that 99% of the time when the ball is hoofed / bulleted to him by one of our awful "wingers" or midfielders, he will find a way to control it and look for an option right away.

  19. We don't look like scoring in a million years. Just as most of us thought, this appointment was too late. Only Charnley thought 10 games was gonna be enough. I need a drink and it's only 10:18AM here. Fuck all this.
  20. yeah, 9.5 I've been at 10 since the Everton game and nothing that's happened since has made me change my mind. Hoping Rafa can work a miracle but giving him only 10 games was typical of Charnley & co.'s ineptitude.

    Papiss Cissé

The moment that formation went up vs. Everton on Sky is an image that still haunts the darkest verandas of my dreams.

    Adam Armstrong

Oh, we had him on the Dirk Kuyt list. Makes sense.

Still no idea why we weren't in for Afobe (sp?). He was killing the Championship and has given Bournemouth vital goals and fret up front.
