June or bust, tbh. Any player signed after that isn't a real signing.

Where has Ashley said this? He hasn't. But that's not stopping the media running with the story. The same way there was no quotes from Rafa about his "frustration" My point is that the press are f***ing clueless and seemingly a lot of people on here are easily led. Shit. You might be into something here. Never thought about it before but is there a possibility of news, potentially, being, you know, fake? Maybe you should start a hashtag for a newly coined phrase, like #FakeNews or something along those lines? It's only natural after that to apply that theory to every single news article ever written where you read something you don't like.

Why would an operations manager, regardless of whichever operations he's managing, have any idea about the transfer talks between the football manager and the owner? In which walk of life would an organization share such information between such unrelated duties? Edit: Does this mean Rafa also knows the OPEX & CAPEX for day to day operations? I mean, surely information must be shared both ways.

It's still 'today' in most parts of the world. I think he meant when the midnight clock strikes in Samoa. https://www.quora.com/Where-does-the-sun-rise-first-and-set-last-in-the-world

It's not the total that they are haggling. It's the structure of how to pay that total that they are negotiating. From what I've read we did initially seek, or haggle for a reduction to the release clause fee but Eibar stood firm, as they have done over final payment structure. Good on them for standing their ground, and dictating terms. We've tried to be cheeky f***ers here. What, by trying to get a good deal? Someone's a huge fan of the Art of the Deal.

That header keeps replaying in my mind each time his name comes up. Along with that infamous eye injury he got. Edit: didn't he also have a collapsed lung, from, as many here joked, going skydiving?

Nothing to remember about his game tbh awful awful footballer Disco Des was miles better than Colback, man. Shake off the fog off your memories. Even though he only played a handful of games for us

Well, now I've seen everything.

Deuce looks nonplussed. Don't tread.

Did Aston Villa buy their position as well?

"Didn't know Shaft cared about football that much." ^ third post in that thread. Is Sunderland in general just a racist, backward place? RTG has given me such an impression over the years.

Fuck's sake. How do these "pundits" have jobs? The PL gravy train is filled with uneven, chewy globules of crap former players with agendas and pettiness.

Good read. Klinsmann such a wanker.

I for one hope they sell him, so their deal with us can stick to the agreed clause of us receiving 24m in Russian concubines.

That this even needs to be said shows the lack of a sense of humour some have on here. Chillax*, guys, this is the HBA thread. Put on your flipflops, listen to some reggae and go with the flow, just like he did on the pitch. *I'm bringing chillax back.

Genuinely can't tell if you're joking or not. Do you also believe Wodehouse devoted his career writing about the harrowing, day-to-day, existential crisis of a rich man and his butler?
-
I just spotted a witch, guys.

As a staunch atheist, the closest proof I've ever come across of the existence of a supernatural being has been HBA. So this astra dude is committing serious blasphemy, and needs stoning.

Have we ever had such divided opinions about a single player? And by divided I mean people who agree with me being right and those who don't categorically, absolutely, facepalmingly wrong?

Mitro can probably head a ball, but in his entire time here he's not even got into positions in which he can. So while technically he may be able to on a beach, on a football pitch it's fair to say he cannot.
-
he also needs to find the ability to shoot, score, head and control a ball. unfortunately these won't ever come as he's f***ing useless, he'd be the first out of the door for me All of this arises from his lack of pace imho.. he never goes clear on goal because he's not quick enough, he does however win his fair share of headed balls to link the rest of the team. He doesn't get enough chances on goal generally whether it's his feet or his head because again, he's too slow.. most of the defenders around him simply get there first. He's not had an easy first two seasons with us, and to come from a team where he was banging the goals in to a league where pace is everything, his confidence in front of goal must be shot at this point. There's a proper center forward in him somewhere and I believe if he shed a bit of weight and found an extra step he could be very good once again. At the very least he's a good option to have to come on and unsettle any team. The lad is a beast. You don't need pace to have finishing instinct. Robbie Fowler wasn't quick, neither was mackem striker Kevin Phillips. That's Mitrovic's biggest drawback, he's not good in the penalty box. A lot of legendary strikers weren't pace queens. Shearer post-injury scored over 100 goals in the top flight and Europe. The whole Mitro-is-only-missing-pace theory is a non-starter. Even if he had pace he's probably spend it running out of bounds or something. He has zero clinical instincts required to be a consistent, goalscoring striker.

Well I don't know about you guys, but I'm already having 88 times more fun than before.
