I'm going to have nightmares. Thanks.

I offer mine, Sir, unbleached.

Wasn't gonna learn kicking in a division where the De Jong brothers learned how to kick anyway.

The last page or so seems so cathartic. Reliving the pain of Pardew, Kinnear, Carver. It sounds like a round table of battered wives reliving their tales, "and then this one time, he put me in the closet and made me sing Guantanamela!" The pain is shared, dear friends. Remember when Carver said Janmaat got himself sent off on purpose? And then threatened fans?

Which other team signs strikers for hoping to have the third-best assists come end of season? I just need to stop frequenting this thread, it's driving me nuts

Mensa scrambling to get in touch with you guys.

Something tells me all these pro-banner people voted for Brexit.

I still get a shock when I meet someone born in the '90s. Like, are you an alien?

We should've put that on Villa's gates with the hashtag (yes, a printed hashtag) #whosyermessiahnow

I thought your post was about strikers?

Anyone actually following the PL this year? I could barely name realistic transfer targets as my entire footballing universe this season has been the Championship. I look to the more educated ones than I to suggest plausible names we can or should go after. I surely hope Carr's been watching the PL at least.

This chap's gonna get his own 1000 page threads once he leaves, isn't he?

Any developments on this front?

Never said Mitro does what they mastered on the pitch. Just put him in that category of players because of their characters. Its a rare thing to see a desire to succed like hes showing on the pitch when given chance. He really wants it so bad. Thats why hes so likable. Mitro has the best years infront of him, i just hope he finds the killer instinct at our club. He's a loveable oaf, I give you that.

ffs  I restrained myself from commenting on that post as I found myself unable to get past the username. Tupac lives.

Would have been more useful than whatever Diame's been trying to do there. I've stopped considering Diame a footballer.

Vieri could finish and had a shot on him. He found space from tight angles to finish clinically. Mitro seems to be playing more like a weird chest-balling #10.

Imagine Rafa taking HBA's hand in marriage. We'll finally have a celebrity power-couple to rival the royals up north.

I want to know what changed from last summer when he was clearly allowed to do that and January when it looked like Carr was back in the game. We weren't twenty points clear at the top. Ironically if we'd signed a couple, I reckon we'd be approaching that now. I think it highlights how reactionary and short-sighted Ashley, Carr and Charnley are. Neither of them have a vision that transcends 6 months, it seems. Sack'em all.

Move on? Never. I'll be that creepo with HBA posters in my room at age 60.

That's brilliant

posts like this ignore that rafa's system isn't really suited to a big man up top type system for the entire season though; if rafa decided to start mitro for the entire season with him and adjusted the system to get runners from midfield around him and quality crosses in from out wide consistently then i see no reason why 15 wouldn't be achievable atm he's often too far away from goal at crucial times and playing in the wrong areas for his type of game, i don't necessarily think that's entirely down to him So what exactly is entirely down to him? Are the chances missed down to him? Or not attacking decent crosses? How about having zero goal threat even when being in the 6 yard box? A decent striker is one who reads the game well. They know instinctively where the ball is going to end up, where it's going to land. This is why Rafa persisted with Cisse and also why Cisse's goals kept us up the season before last when he looked dogshit in general. I would counter-bet and say if we gave Murphy a full season he'd actually end up with way more goals than Mitro, as he does seem to have those instincts more than Mitro.

This thread is getting insane again, it's following the typical Mitro cycle where his fans have come out in strong support again. Is Mitro the only striker on earth? We can pick up an average or below average Prem striker who will be happy to be 2nd or 3rd choice and still score more goals than him. We need to let this kid go and develop elsewhere, and wish him best in his career. It's not happened at NUFC and we can't be his spiritual guardians. For me, the moment where Ritchie looked at him bewildered after whipping in a perfectly fine cross and asking "what more do you want?" summed up Mitro's career here perfectly. He didn't even attack the fucking ball.
