Saw this photo on the Chronicle website after the Boro game... http://i1.chroniclelive.co.uk/incoming/article12956144.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/JS117952142.jpg He looks dead inside, and that was him trying to be positive after their performance!!

I genuinely think some managers find their club and things just click. Curbishley at Charlton, Big Sam at Bolton (to a lesser degree) etc. Moyes did a good job at Everton no doubt but many factors helped him. Makes sense. Sometimes everything is in the right place for the ingredients to make a decent dish, even at random.

I have no idea what's happened to him, tbh. At least for Everton he provided footing and stability, and built a respectable unit. Seems to be a one-hit wonder type of thing, maybe he never had an ethos or a philosophy that could be transferred to other teams in the modern game? Maybe the game moved on far too quickly for him to adapt? Maybe Man U broke him? Fuck knows. He's embarrassing now.
  4. All his interviews about us are generally: Interviewer: Any good news for Newcastle fans? Ballague: No. Goes for most journalists tbf Benitez lives in England anyway, Caulkin is more likely to know more than Ballague Ballague and Benitez are close friends btw. They're both also Spanish. Yesh but one is a knob and the other isnt Maybe they exchange wives once in a while?

  6. Spurs don't have to pay us a penny if Sissoko leaves, though, even if it's to us. /s
  7. Convinced everyone hates us. This week has been as bizarre as the Trump administration's first 100 days in office.
  8. For me, personally, it made me fall in love with the game again. I felt like a kid listening to the radio commentary, and watching many-a game through some dude's Periscope added a new level of closeness to both the club and the game I'd not felt in over a decade. We forget, maybe, how gloomy and tortuous the Pardew years were. Many of us were hoping for defeats on matchdays to see the back of the c-nt, and that kind of negativity is simply not good for one's mind and body. Having someone like Rafa here has completely turned that around, and made me realize why I follow this game in the first place. It's about a community, at the end of the day, when you strip it all away, and Rafa has brought us all back together. So for me, this season was a 4 or a 5 simply for those reasons. I thoroughly enjoyed it, tbh.
  9. I just told one of my Liverpool supporting mates who is suddenly becoming an expert on all things NUFC now that we're up that... this is exactly the aspect I didn't miss being away from the EPL. These armchair top-4 fans who think they know everything about your club more than you, and the constant limelight from the media. I kind of liked being out of the limelight for a year. But I also am really happy to be back
  10. Yes but big Mike told us all on Telly he wants to win a cup with us innit. And the buck stops with him.
  11. We've been dull most of the game like. Basically three goals from corners considering the penalty was going in anyway. Obviously still enjoying it though What utter dogshit. You need to have a think about where we are. Dave not pulling any punches.
