£8-10m will stand up to most clubs transfer budget in Jan, the most we've ever spent is £11m. Quite frankly i dont care if we end up making a profit this window providing the squads improved. For January under normal circumstances its good money, but for us right now it isnt, more needs to be invested as we need quality players brought here so the likes of Nicky Butt dont get a look in.

Some people can say about concentrating on the Prem all they want, but the team we put out tonight, bar maybe Enrique, will play away against Blackburn at the weekend and based on tonights game will almost certainly lose. Also Martins is back in 2 weeks, Beye and Barton, god knows when they are back so we are looking at weeks with this current squad. If the sitters fall to Martins instead of Owen, we have a chance to stay up.
