Is anyone else particularly delighted that we got there this year to experience the group stage before its binned off at the end of the season? -

Can't wait to see Bruno's tears when we lift this cup. -

Just seeing what I think are odds in the background of the studio. Are we only 25/1 to win the Champions League? -

TNT Sports makes me feel like I'm watching foreign coverage from a US network. -
Brilliant signing for them that.

If we get a good result away to Sheffield our next game is Burnley at home, we could afford to play a very strong team with good rotation in those games. I can't see Eddie and co taking this cup lightly after last seasons journey in it. We'll see I suppose but I still think we can do it. I hate the idea that we're to think we're beaten before a ball is kicked, although that might change tomorrow if we've to play away to Real Madrid.
-
I hate this defeatist attitude, City fans must be laughing their heads off looking at it on Twitter etc. We're at home, give them a good go and see what happens, we're not Mike Ashley's NUFC anymore. We can definitely win this game.

Put them out fuck it. We want a cup run nows the time to get one of the favourites out.

Keep forgetting that we're in a draw tomorrow night and Thursday. -
Going away this weekend and won’t see this, which I’m kinda happy about because my nerves would be shot to shit. Anything other than a defeat would be good, 3 defeats in a row would be really shit like. Could see a score draw.
-
Fuck me if you’ve the stomach to watch it here’s a Newcastle fan ringing in to Alan fucking Pardew to complain about the game today.
-
You clearly haven't been reading much of what was on here and on social media after full-time.
-
Criticising subs and that is all fair game for every single match, but I think some people are massively overreacting outside of stuff like that, particularly in the Howe and Bruno threads. Its understandable that football brings out that emotion in people in the immediate aftermath of a bad defeat but we're in the CL draw on Thursday because of this team and I think people need to remember that. Especially when we're 3 games in, this could easily still be a better season than last at this very early stage.
-
The only thing worse than this result is reading the shite on here across the football forum like. It is a bad result, awful, that's football, we move on to the next game. We had two spells of not winning in 8 games last season, and also lost this fixture, but still finished 4th, there is a long long way to go. Just want to also mention that I hope those tearing into Howe and the players enjoy the Champions League draw on Thursday.
-
Far too slow to be at centre back imo. We need a new centre back to support Schar and Botman but sure we knew that anyway.
-
Bruno has been class for us but there’s no denying he has been poor this season. He needs to figure out what’s going wrong and sort it out. People need to chill and remember who they’re talking about though, he’s just in bad form, he’ll be back.
-
Today hurts but if we beat Brighton two wins isn’t a bad return from those four fixtures. He got today completely wrong, subs were awful, we didn’t try and close the game out properly which let them in twice. Shocking day but cool heads have to be kept and we need to just look to the next game.
-
Beyond fuming at this. Really fucking angry
-
Trent is a threat going forward for sure, but we have a very good defence. He is also a weak point in their defence that we should target so I'm not really arsed if he plays. Liverpool at full strength isn't really an issue, they've been underperforming since they blew the chance to win the PL and CL in May 2022. At full strength they are still there for the taking.
-
Lost 9 league games last season (9 different teams) and didn't win half of them. They were extremely lucky in some games too the wankers, our two games being two of them.
-
Be really shit if Liverpool manages to beat us and our next game is away to Brighton off the back of two defeats like. Think a win here and a point at Brighton would be a brilliant return from those four tough fixtures. Honestly we really should be beating Liverpool, they're rocky as fuck at the back and our midfield should win on the day against theirs.
