Im pretty sure that if Enrique had signed for a team like Man Utd or Arsenal and played under Ferguson/Wenger he would be a different player. Same is if we had signed Ronaldo from sporting he would NEVER become tha same player he is now, not even close.. Im not comparing Enriques potential with Ronaldo (just wanted to mention that before anyone starts....)

Well he has probably more money than he needs and his best friends and family probably lives there, he loves playing for his club. Who wouldn't rather live in Milano instead of Manchester? If i had the choice i would rather play for NUFC for 50K/week than for say 100k/week for Manchester City..

I haven't seen anything of Derbyshire. What kind of striker is he? What is he good/less good at? Size? Pace?

Weren't we linked with Simon Vukcevic at Sporting L. a while ago under KK? He wouldn't be impossible or extremely expensive. Could play as an ACM and in the role between the striker and midfield. Has some nice skills and scores a few goals. And born the same year as Bassong and N'Zogbia. He would add som creativity to our midfield while also giving us the option of playing him further up front. Him and Mbia from Rennes and some cover for the LB position to push/not replace Enrique (unless we can afford Sakho) and i will be happy for the rest of the season

I really don't see why you can't do it tbh. Liverpool & Chelsea have been doing as much as they can to hand Man Utd the title lately, Man Utd are dropping points when they get the chance to close the gap, Arsenal have been sh*t, and you're just going about your business. Similar to us in 01/02. I was actually joking, however, if we could put together a decent run where we played as well as we did last year for long spells, I would fancy our chances of doing very well. We've been playing badly for several weeks now, but we keep getting results somehow. Everton away and West Ham this weekend. Poor performances. Six points. We've played 9 away games and taken 18 points from 27, won 6, drawn 3. That's impressive, but what worries me is that we've played really well about 3 times this season at maximum. It could go either way for the rest of the season. And by the looks of it, it's looking even worse now for Arsenal as Fabregas might be out for a while and they will also miss Adebayor and defensively they look very suspect imo...
