We will miss Martins more than anyone in this game i think..But IF we manage to keep a clean sheet then i think we could win 1-0. But i think we will have to settle for a draw here or a 1-0 win for wigan. Not too optimistic about this one..

The Newcastle United Transfer Thread: D-Day [Spoiler: Not Much Happens]

Supposed to be interested in Sissoko although I read we've been priced out of a move as they want over 10 million euros for him. Whether that will drop to a more realistic price in January we will have to wait and see. Have you seen Sissoko play? I haven't to be honest, only thing i know is that he's a defensive midfielder. Probably in the same mould as Diarra, Diarra, Diarra, Diarra, Mbia and so on? Fuck me there's many Diarra's -

Wouldn't mind Mbia either, also a young good player from the french league who's going to leave for next season, if not in january.. -

Anyone who can translate these articles? Not seen much about him, but a friend of mine who watches alot more of the french league says he's a future star. And FM people also "wonderkid" The top one says we went to watch him on Thursday in the Uefa cup and that we've already got Bassong in defence and hope to have the same success with Sakho, says we are willing to pay 8 million euros. The second one says we've already passed on an initial oofer of 8 million euros to PSG. Cheers. I hope that we go after young players. If we pick the right ones they will add quality for now and the future and could be a good investment. Instead of going for past it players like Luque who was on his way down men we splashed £10m on him and went for close to nothing (to name one of many bad signings for us) -

What has impressed me alot is the way he's playing when considering he's still so young. Many young defenders have alot of rough edges and make the wrong decision here and there a little bit too often, young players often want to succeed a little bit too much, like instead of being calm and intelligent many younger ones throw them around everywhere and goes down for a sliding tackle when it's not needed, it's a much safer option going in the other players way or push him off the ball and just continue with the ball safely and pick a simple pass. Of course it's still early to say too much, but i've been very impressed so far with his way of defending and long may it continue..

Even if we could get him i would rather put that money on two CM's instead, One DM like Mbia from Rennes who's young and dynamic and is a quality player. And go for a AM with the ability to score a few goals and at the same time more suited to 4-4-2. He would be too much of a luxury player for us imo. And i dont really like him anymore after all of his comments during the last transfer window. And i also think there will be quite a few CL clubs after him anyway...

I would look for a dynamic DM as a replacement for Butt. I would love to see Mbia from Rennes. Probably would cost a little bit too much and surely would have some good options as he's been playing really well. So he's probably too hard to get? But trying wont make things worse right? And also look for a more attacking cm...

IF we can get a quality cm in then i think we could have a really decent second half season if we dont get too many of our key players injured. And some cover here and there..Will be very interesting next month. But i dont wanna have too high expectations, but if we manage to make one or two signings as good as the last ones then i will be very satisfied. -
I thought that Enrique handled Lennon well. Some poor passing at times, but that will get better with time hopefully, because he has a decent left foot imo. Central midfield must be priority in january i think. And perhaps getting some cover in for Beye and Enrique..

This weekend has been really shit for me. But this win made it much much better . Loved the way Beye celebrated the goal with Zoggy (i think it was?)
-
fact. I agree...would be stupid to sell him, very stupid...
-
Some are really good i have to admit... Might try makng one later...

Great result, i've always thought that colo and bassong could be a really good partnership, still early but anyway...get in,,

I have a good feeling about this game...cant wait...come on... -
What a fucking great big smile i had when we scored the second...Been enjoying this win all day today..Great work by the players. And i just loved to see them all celebrating as a team when we scored and when it was over...Colos hug with Jonas and Obas celebration and passion shown after the first goal. Made my day at work 100 times easier than usual...
-
We're gonna win this one with 2-1 or loose it 1-2 Barton and Obafemi the goalscorers if we win. Oba Oba with a thunderbolt strike from the edge of the penalty area in the 79th minute..
-
I would love to see that team...
-
Has he got any pace?? Not seen much from him apart from his goal against Wigan..
-
Feel like we already went 1-0 up ...YES...YES..
-
To be fair, psychologically being up against two fellow South Americans might have helped (the whole Argentina v Brazil thing). Maybe i don't understand why you wrote "To be fair" or what you meant with it. I know what the words mean, but it sounded like you defended him as if i was being negative about him. But i meant it in a positive way. Maybe i just got it wrong about your reply, it's not always that easy to understand Let's beat the m*****s

I hope that we only start Jonas or play him at all if he's 100% healed and not risking a possible injury setback because of playing him too early..He's too important for us to loose him for a longer time on the treatment table...
-
He looked alot more agressive against City than he's looked before i think.
-
Our best player today i think..
