The bad things about players linked somehow manage to disappear sometimes. If he was dirt dirt cheap I wouldn’t mind him too much as a 3rd backup for a flank or similar. To throw in when we are defending a lead and look for transitions alone more or less. Preferably I don’t want him at all.

We are paying for potential. Howe will coach him into a 60m+ player within a year, his metrics hit the roof. To clarify, I’m on neither “side”

I doubt there’s a sell on clause, and if there is one then I’m certain that it’s very small percentage at best.

The Gordon rumours were only made up because everyone at the club wishes for Gordon to get his England chance from the start tomorrow.

As I’ve said before, I think he will have a slow start and not look ready apart from showing a few glimpses. Towards the 2nd half/end of session I reckon he will prove to be a massive hit. Seems a quick learner. Plus he has that unnatural lightning pace that will help to build up his confidence and in general game.

Absolutely no imo! Yes we would have them for the coming season but the likes of Bruno and Isak most definitely would want to be off as soon as the season ends. They are ambitious and rightly so. I don’t see them leaving this window anyways. Gordon too.

They will want something like 40m. +/- 5m or so.

I wonder how much extra we would have to pay for Elanga. Probably not too much extra/year depending on how we view it for PSR reasons. Don’t see Anderson being worth near as much.

Hopefully all this is our way of improving financially before we go for the more ambitious targets that improve us properly. Lay the foundations now to see what is possible to do financially further ahead. (Apart from the “deadline” alone)

Gordon has always been much better in general play. Even if not a genuinely creative/flair type of player.

Personally I feel that we need some players that can allow us to control games better at times too, with great technical ability and IQ to get to the next level. Elanga doesn’t offer much outside of transitions.

Well I haven’t seen any numbers mentioned so we shall see.
