With Miggy on the right, who probably was one of our better if not the best player in these games. I just feel like some players get slightly overhyped, same with Anderson to name one. Like Dr. Spaceman says, he's been playing out of his skin. Even Burn who i rate and love has been slightly overhyped at times. He has performed admirably and playing out of his skin and done a fantastic job and has been massive in our path back to being a very good side. I probably wouldn't call him average but i still think he's been slightly overhyped by some. Clear to see what a difference in quality overall there is between him and Livramento who's even playing out of position. Not one single team will pay 15-20m for Murphy as they know his true ability. This doesn't mean that he hasn't done very very well for us and is a good fit. The reason we have been doing so extremely well overall isn't because every single player is class ability wise. I hope he stays for next season and i think he will, for sure. But it's only a short amount of time until he's entirely replaced in the squad.

Do you think another say top 8 club would sign him? Even if only for rotation? I doubt so. He has done remarkably well for us considering his ability. I still don't see him as a class player despite how much i like him. All this said, what is average, what is class, what is world class and so on Can't really say if anyone is wrong or right, same goes for me tbh.

I assumed a few might react at this a bit too literally. Don't get me wrong, i love Murphy and i think he has done a great job for us. However we can't forget that a few of our players have been better than, kind of "the sum of their parts" mainly because of Howe and how well we function as a team unit. I don't mind him as a squad player, absolutely not. However if we aim to improve and evolve for next season then i dont think he should be a starting player or 1st man backup to Miggy. Me using the word "average" is relatively speaking. I wouldn't call him a class player, especially when we consider what we are aiming for. The club and Eddie will be ruthless when needed, despite many players giving their all and doing a brilliant/class job relative to their ability.

Should be taken with a massive pinch of salt. Not seen the article myself. I know we've been linked with him before. Wouldn't mind him or Arouna Sangante if we are looking at "cheaper" alternatives than say Diomande, Todibo for ex.

Looks rapid and unpredictable. Having said that, he looks nowhere near ready to challenge for the 1st team next season based on what i've seen and read. Especially when considering that we will be looking at a proper key signing for our right hand side for next season at the latest. I'd let them have him for another season if possible. Best for him and the club imo. We will be looking to improve the 1st team in the next two windows hopefully aiming for high quality technical players. We don't want to go in to next season with Miggy only, with Murphy and Minteh as average backups.

That's why i said with the right mentality. Even then, if we wanna evolve and become one of europes best we can't just have 11 pressing physical monsters. We will have to change slightly and get top top technical quality in to get to the next level. Obviously there are technical players with decent pressing ability. Imo there will have to be a slight compromise between physicality and technical ability to get to the absolute highest level.

A prime HBA with the right mentality consistently would have been THE perfect player for our right hand side. The thought of it makes me drool even though it's just imaginary. Natural talent he had is just second to none. One of my favs ever.

Just need more technical players with great awareness and IQ around him. A slight lack of technical ability here and there is the reason we fail to control games at times. Especially when tired you can see an even bigger difference.

Fair point. However there were massive clubs after him before he decided to go to FCK iirc. Wanted more game time. I think we could be a very very good option for him at this point. There's everything for him here. My pure guess would be Tottenham with a Real Madrid clause in the contract.

I know, definitely not an easy signing to do. However not impossible at all either. When you consider where we are going towards, his agency and the possibility of lots of game time.

Gordon is good to very good at most things. Think the perfect balance for the team once we signa RW would be getting a player that is more towards a flair player. A creative playmaking one. Especially when you consider how wide and up the field we play our RB. On the other side once Hall breaks through properly we won't look one dimensional at all since Gordon can go both wide and inside with Hall being able to play both from wide and go into more central areas to mix it up. Hall's crossing ability and progressive passes from various areas will make our left hand side very difficult to read for the opposition as well as allowing us to create an overload both wide and in the more central areas. Really like the flexibility and variations this would/will give us. Gordon is class but i dont want the same type of player for the right. Especially if we are not gonna play a proper 10 or an extremely attacking playmaker in our midfield three. Our wide player would give us that creativity instead coming in to more central areas with our fullback providing the width.

Would love Neto but I’m not sure his body will be able to cope with the intensity. Very good player but his fitness leaves questions to be asked.

Is Oliseh injury prone? Would cost a bomb though i'd guess.

Miggy must stay at least for the whole of next season. Ideally we either get a top top youngster in january like Roony B to compete and bed in for next season. Or we go for a top class and ready RW in the summer.

Not seen him play but i've read that Guerra's rather slow? Not sure if correct.

Think Miley is the only one even close to becoming a top top player though. Has a very high ceiling potentially. Unless We're talking about Tino and Hall.

Not worth a punt. Wouldn't take him for free (kind of). We´re a proper club now and he's not the type for us going forward long term.
