Ideally yeah. Finding that top top class right side option is easier said than done. Don’t want us to sign someone that isn’t transformational. If we can’t then there is the possibility to use that 40m elsewhere if we get only AG for example. Think AG will play as an inverted wide forward to begin with before he slots in to a more of a natural #10 position. A footballer with that technical ability and situational awareness and vision can basically play blindfolded more or less anywhere up the pitch.

Am I the only one thinking that if we can’t get a player like say Raphinha or similar proven quality for our right sided forward role then we should just buy a super talented cheaper option like Arda Guler and put that money on other positions instead? I think players like Diaby are very good but I’m not convinced that we should pay the price quoted for him or similar players around the same price/quality. We should go all out and try for Arda Guler no matter what even though the competition for him is hard. Arda Guler might not give the same quality or consistency straight away but I think it’s only a season or two before he is a superior player to the likes of Diaby/Williams to name two. I have seen us linked with Ferran Torres too, but not so sure how likely that is. Not sure how well he has done lately or if the price mentioned is believable. Getting someone like him along with AG could be a very shrewd way to go. Judging by what I’ve seen before and thinking of his versatility. I also don’t see Diaby being as effective against a low block defending team, or simply put for a team like us who might go more from a team in quick transitions to a more possession based team. Especially against lesser teams. Think we need flair out wide with fullbacks roaming forward

Never gonna happen, but I genuinely don’t even want Kane. Not because he isn’t class but because he is too “Spurs coloured”. i want “our own” stars. Either growing into stars with us or from abroad and growing into the league with us. Not to say I wouldn’t have a single player from the PL. I personally just don’t want ready made superstars from other PL clubs, especially from the so called “top 4/6” teams. I would rather see us being a steroid version of Dortmund/Leipzig to name two. Players that grow with the club and genuinely fall in love with it. I know many on here will struggle to understand my reasoning and thinking behind this. Some will I guess.

Think this is the player i want us to sign the most, even if not ready to be a starting key player for us (physically). Him along with DS from Leipzig i think. He is just bound to become a world star. Get him in and a marquee right sided player and im excited. Surely would get decent enough time on the pitch as a #10 or wide forward. Or leave him out on loan for a seasn at FB. Andrea Pirlo on AG.

Aye it definitely does change things. Exciting times ahead. Quality before quantity even though we need much better depth Sign "wonderkids" for backup and allow current starting players also provide depth IF new players coming in show more quality.

Personally i think we will be signing players similar to Botman/Isak Bruno and a couple of wonderkids perhaps. For whatever positions that might be.. Players like Dominik/Wirtz isn't entirely impossible as an Isak typ of signing imo. Depending on Wirtz price/knee.

What price for Maddison if they get relegated? 35-40? I know about his contract and all that but I doubt they would sell him for say 30m. 35m for him would be a very good deal imo.
