Finishing 10th wouldn't be very good no matter how you look at it dude. Im not saying i expect Europe or anything. If the club is as ambitious as they say then 10th position wont be "very good".

I wouldnt go the route of going for Harrison. However, I definitely wouldn’t be against it and I can see why. First of all his output is pretty good in terms of goals and assists. Add that to his energy, pressing and it’s a player that would add a lot to a team, especially over a season. For example, quite many wingers/wide forwards go from being absolutely brilliant and entertaining and then to a pretty low standard the next game. Inconsistency is common amongst these type of players, and one thing that you don’t see often with flair/wide players it’s their off the ball work, energy, pressing (in a good way). At least not consistently. I’m not saying that Harrison doesn’t have bad games, but when he does he definitely offers something else for the team, as in so called effort. And that can’t be underestimated imho, especially over a season and the extra points it will add up to. One name that comes to mind, even if not the same type of player, that is Dirk Kuyt. Effective even if not elegant like art.

Despite being tall i like that he seems to have good acceleration, coordination and technique. Looks pretty complete, not just a big lump.

He’s supposed to be promising. Not that many goals yet though. I really like the look of Sucic.

We don’t seem able to get that proper class RW for many reasons which is understandable. Someone like Madueke would be able to do a very good job now as well as developing into a star. For maybe the same amount of money that Harrison would cost. Much higher ceiling potentially too. Instead of paying 30m for Harrison and then replace him further ahead. Obviously would become a good squad player. He will cost at least 30m so I’m not sure if he’s worth it. Not that I would complain either but it’s just that I would take a different path. Someone like Madueke could really grow into a star with us. Unless he gets too many injuries. I’m sure it won’t take long either.

Get Madueke and save 15-25m or whatever. He will be a better player in the future I reckon.

I mentioned my in general thoughts on Shelvey during the game. Fucking hell people still going on about it/subject. These days he's one of the first names on the teamsheet i think. Would be a signal of intent which may help us going forward, and not only because of his quality but also to attract other players. Right now i dont see too many thinking wow they mean business now already. I do however many think that we are doing it the smart way by not wasting tons of cash on has beens and shite and big names. Hopefully we will do more within time. Looks promising.

The reason to sign a player of his calibre is to become a side that is less of a “less” side. My guess is that 40-45 would get him with some add ons.

Was watching a bit of PSV games. Boy is this Madueke kid talented. I have seen YouTube before too obviously. He would probably cost 30-40m.He would come in and strengthen us as well as him becoming a star of the PL in the near future no doubt. @Unbelievabledo you reckon he will stay another year? And would you say that 35-40 would be enough? With some add ons on top of that. Rather him than Diaby tbh.
