If teams sit back very deeply then Maddison is a great threat to have too with his feet and long shots. Good at finding space too.

Some expectations on Anderson…

Maddison. Even if it means a slightly lesser player out wide. Can’t underestimate what the team can be with him and Bruno running the show.

I have been beating the Paqueta drum like many others. Mostly because I don’t think there are many players of his calibre that are attainable. My feeling is that he wouldn’t be impossible to sign. Having said that, if I had to choose between him and Maddison then I would go for the latter. Not sure if it’s possible to get him but for whatever the money he would cost I’m certain that we can’t go wrong if we sign him. He would cost a lot but there would be no risk. In an instant we would reach a different level and get a player of very high quality. Doesn’t need to adapt, is as proven as anyone. Worth every penny I think even if we have to pay 50-60m we can’t go wrong. Expensive yes, but a certain real deal, never mind for where we are now. It would be a wow signing. Unlikely maybe but if there’s the slightest chance of getting him then he should be a must sign.

If Joelinton can go from awful to good then I’m sure Werner could. Fresh start “from scratch” in a “smaller pond” and belief from his manager can make a massive difference. I’m absolutely certain he’d provide us another dimension even IF he doesnt score tons of goals. He’s a handful and his off the ball movement and pace would cause problems and give space to others. My gut feeling is that if we get him then he will be a success, I just feel it in my gut. Versatile too.

A dreamy scenario would be Maddison and Madueke and then a versatile striker on loan. Add Werner for example to those two and it would be an outrageously good window. I know it might be asking too much but not entirely impossible even if maybe a bit too optimistic. I’d be happier with slightly less like.

Would be an amazing signing. Even at 60m. He would transform us in many ways. Can’t get a more guaranteed “gonna be class” type of player. More or less no risk whatsoever.

It annoys me that we got linked with Sesko at all, because of his agent. I'm now desperate for us to sign him Even if extremely unlikely for many reasons. Looks a player who will double his worth in a year or two. Even at 40m+ now.

Probably aye. Even then, probably worth it. Seems destined for greatness from what i've read and seen lately. People have talked about the likes of DCL and others for a lot of money too. i know who i'd rather have. To be totally honest, best thing he could do now is probably stay for this season and then go to a club like Dortmund or RB Leipzig and then to the PL. I would guess he's good enough for the PL now already though.

Just another sign that we need a CM of some sort. As if it wasn’t obvious already… Naive not going for one if you aim to have a good season. Not only for better depth but better quality in such a vital area too.

Different players but I’d be equally happy with Nunes or Fofana. Think Nunes would be the best for us. One can dream of these players I guess. It’s been quiet around Nunes so I’m sure he is the one we have lined up..

I doubt that many think we will, but many probably hope or think that we should. No matter what what we think or might hope or believe in, we haven't got a clue really! No matter what players we eventually sign.

As if you have a clue. What i'm saying is that he can easily play in a three and do it very very well. For example on the right side of a three. I doubt we will get him, but i think we should as the possibility of getting such a quality player would be worth it, especially this early in our project. Not easy getting players like him.

We've been linked with Paqueta for ages, both before and after Bruno. There was talk about Paqueta even before the takeover happened, and that he had turned us down when people sounded out possible targets.

"for the sake of it" Piss off! He's one of the first names on the teamsheet for Brazil. Also, he can easily play as one in a three without being a #10 or even playing at the tip. Can cover multiple roles, and he's strong physically. People shouldn't talk out of their arse if they don't know about him. Also, he wasn't a smokescreen because we wanted Bruno. There were barely any rumours at all, or serious links to him. Saying he doesn't fit into our team is rubbish.
