  1. Dybala (my delusional dream)
  2. Definitely will be enjoying the summer. Just don’t expect too much..
  3. You just don’t get it do you. Enjoy your day.
  4. You didn’t even read what I said did you. We won’t put all eggs in one basket. We can’t risk spending money like crazy. Especially if we don’t improve our income on and off the field before we really really start spending BIG. If we spend all we can now “hypothetically” and we don’t end up playing in the CL like we thought we would then what? Look at Everton, they have spent a lot but never reached high enough on the sporting level so now they can’t spends much at all anymore, and are now fighting relegation. We will make ambitious signings but we also need to make shrewd signings too that won’t cost a bomb either. Can be ambitious but also sensible in our spending. We are aiming high but it will take time to get where we want. Enough said about it from me
  5. We can improve the 1st team without spending a ludicrous amount of money on every player.
  6. “Apart from FFP” being key words. I know that we could spend a lot despite ffp. But we won’t put all our eggs in one basket, and rightly so. We need to do some sensible spending too. I’m sure we will sign real quality. But they don’t have to cost 50m each. Plus we need more than 4 players anyway.
  7. A good example is someone like Targett, especially this early in our “project”. First of all it’s more or less risk free as it’s a loan, and if he does well like has then there is the option of buying him for an decent amount (by the sounds of it). is he an exciting and elegant signing? I don’t think so. Is it a very good signing that has improved us? Most definitely I’d say. He’s an example of a signing that we need to do in the summer to improve us while not breaking the bank. Allows us to make a couple of marquee signings as the icing on the cake. Say that we had signed a new LB for 30m, would he have done much better than Targett? I don’t think so. Every team has players that are not wow but offer quality and average 7.5/10 performances consistently.
  8. I think he’s very good but I’m not sure he’s worth spending that much money on. Maybe we could get a cheaper option that will improve us and also free up money for other positions which may end up making us stronger on the whole. For example, get someone like Grillitsch on a free and suddenly we have around 50m for other positions. Is he as good as Phillips? Probably not, who knows how he would do in the PL. he would improve our midfield no doubt. Wee need to strengthen a few positions.
  9. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t go for 50m players that will improve us no doubt. What I’m saying is that we also need to find “bargains”. Players available with great quality or potential that don’t cost 40-60m but prove to be great signings. We need 4-6 players. We won’t spend 200m or near.
  10. There are lots of good signings to make. Buying guaranteed success and in form players will cost you a bomb. We can’t just buy these type of players. We have to make some shrewd business too. The balance has to be right because we can’t just buy anyone we would like. Getting a fringe player from a club for example. One that should start for them but doesn’t have the vote of confidence in them from their manager, or someone in ridiculous form might be the reason X quality player doesn’t play and could be available and so on..
  11. What’s the deal with someone like Luka Jovic these days? Days totally numbered or in need of a new environment and proper game time? Could someone like him come in on loan and end up being a very good signing with some luck?
  12. Aye mate,it was me and I stand by that Mostly because I think for the striker role it has to be someone ready to hit the ground running. The pressure and expectations on a starting main striker is massive compared to a wide flair type of player imo. As a right winger you can get away a little bit more from being slightly on and off. Say Pino coming in and he’s already much better than our other options for that position. Raphinha is no doubt a classy player. Better for the very short term too I probably have to admit. Having said that I think he’d cost more than Pino, especially in wages. I also think he might be out of our reach considering what clubs he has been linked with. He has already made the step that Bruno just did, and has proven himself in this league so I’m not sure he’s come. I think the biggest reason I want Pino is that he’s so good already at a very young age, and I think after a season or two he’s going to be as good if not better than Raphinha who is 5-6 years older. I’d take R with open arms like, equally as much?
  13. Actually a very good shout. One that I’ve totally forgot about. Spending say 60m on him feels more safe than say 30-35m on someone very young that hasn’t really proved anything but great potential. He’s like what? 24-25? Striker for more or less 10 years.
  14. I’m not sure if we should spunk say 60m+ on someone like Nunez. I’m not even sure if we should spend a fortune on any striker this summer. They are hard to find and there’s not many “guaranteed” options out there available to begin with, never mind realistic ones this early on in our project. Other positions need to be strengthened as well, and can be done more easily (less risk) even if we go for proper top quality/world class potential. I think I’d look to loan a quality striker from one of the European top teams with maybe an option to buy. This x-named player might work out even better and gives us the option of spending the cash in other areas until the right option occurs. Not sure who though.. Spend big on a RW and CB and one more attacking minded CM and a more defensive minded CM too and then loan a quality striker to compete with Wilson. Not even sure if Nunez would come to us anyway.
  15. Id be frustrated too not being as mobile anymore.
  16. Even if Burnley don’t win tomorrow they have a chance still. Even if unlikely.
  17. They are challenging for the top 4, and despite that the players couldn’t even try and motivate themselves to show courage and the right mentality, a winners mentality. I’m not saying Rangnick is great, I don’t think he is. But I’m not having it that the players aren’t also very responsible for their attitude
  18. Yes, they are rotten to the core like I said. They need a total clearout on every level.
  19. They don’t suddenly become bad players no, but they play as bad players. You can blame management all you want but there’s still a lack of character and the right mentality. Just floating around like a leaf in windy situations.
