Goalkeeper: Someone on loan with an option to buy. Fullback: Hickey, young with tons of potential, can play many roles. There will be injuries and it’s good to be able to rotate too. Manquillo is good as on of four. CB: Someone classy, CL level. CM: Florian Grillitch on a free AMC: Paqueta (not sure if he’s a Howe kind of player though) RW: Pino from Villarreal. Would cost a lot. 5-6 years younger than Raphinha and wouldn’t cost near as much in wages. I also think he’ll be a better player in a year or so. Striker: no idea really. He’s not young anymore but if we could get someone like Zapata in on loan with an option to buy it would be class. Even if the loan itself costs quite a bit. Or just buy him for a decent price instead of splashing 60m on someone not as proven. Can’t see us signing quite as many as 7 players. Also the CB, AMC, RW and striker combined would cost a bomb Unless we can get a older one like Zapata for decent money (30m) (we spent on Wood)

Has anyone seen much of Diogo Costa? He’s supposed to be very highly rated. Not convinced about the keepers we have been linked with so far. Yeah, just links and rumours though.

Would someone like Yeremy Pino from Villarreal be realistic? Obviously would cost a lot. I know people have been talking about the likes of Raphinha and Antony but maybe he’d be just slightly easier to sign, no? Amazing talent. 5-6 years younger than Raphinha too.

Targett, Trippier, Hickey and Manquillo Would be a very good set of fullbacks.

We need more central midfielders no matter what imo. We have no depth/quality.

Game reading ability is obviously more important than pace. And I know Bruno is no speedster, but he’s class anyway. That’s why I think we could use another CM that has decent pace, or at least when it comes to shorter distances, to give some even better balance/mix. Shelvey has improved tactically but he’s still slow like, very slow

One player who I think could be a shrewd signing is Florian Grillitsch. If we are looking at realistic ones. We have been linked with him before. I think his contract might run it out in the summer too. We have so much work to do signing attacking players of all kinds too.

I understand that he doesn’t make a lot of long runs box to box or anything llike that. What I meant is that he’s a bit slow, not like Shelvey slow.

I haven’t seen very much of him admittedly. Maybe 10 games or similar. But it’s been pretty obvious to me that he isn’t very mobile. Maybe I’m wrong and he hasn’t been fit in those games or whatever. I don’t think he’d be an awful signing or anything. Also it seems he’s A.Madrid bound.

Apart from him not being very mobile I would agree. That’s why I’m not sure he’d be our best choice.

A lot of people talk about Kamara from Marseille, but im not sure how much you folks have seen of him. He’s a good player and a talent for sure. However he isn’t very mobile. I think we need some mobility in midfield. Bruno is class but I think I’d like a strong runner next to him. Not necessarily a pure DM either, but one that is quite strong physically and is mobile.

Cody Gakpo anyone? Pretty versatile, mostly on the left though. Someone like him plus a “more proven” for the right hand side. I imagine he’d cost quite a bit though.
