Newcastle United midfielder Jack Colback set to leave after training ground row with boss Rafa Benitez Jack Colback has almost certainly played his last game for Newcastle United The former Sunderland midfielder refused to take part in a training session Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez has since told the player to train alone Jack Colback has almost certainly played his last game for Newcastle United after a training ground row which has seen him banished from the first-team set-up. Sportsmail understands that the former Sunderland midfielder was already training away from the main group earlier this week when, after one player picked up a knock, he was called to join in. Colback, however, is thought to have refused to take part and this has infuriated manager Rafa Benitez, who has since told the player to train alone. The 27-year-old reported to the club’s training ground on Friday afternoon - after the senior session had finished - and was forced to work by himself. Colback will be left out of Benitez's 25-man Premier League squad and the Magpies have already offered him to other clubs, although his £40,000-per-week wages are thought to be a stumbling block. Colback began his career with the Black Cats, but joined Newcastle on a free transfer in 2014 and has since played 102 games for the club This won't go down well, but anyway........... Rafa doesn't have the greatest reputation when it comes to tact and sensitivity when dealing with players. Whatever your opinion of Colback's ability, it does look like he was humiliated here. Absolutely perfect!

Playing against quality opposition is gonna cost us if we give away possession easily though.

I'm of the opinion if he was playing through injury then he shouldn't be playing. We had plenty of backup in the the CB department last season. My personal opinion is that he's just not a good footballer and it's started to catch-up with him. Clark is better and I think Lejeune will prove to be the best of our CB's (fingers crossed)
-
The absolutely weakest part of his game is his poor technique. He really can't pass a ball. Makes a big difference having two CB's decent with the ball at their feet who can move the ball faster and with more accuracy, it gives the player who receives it that extra second on the ball.

Feels like Giroud only scores beautiful goals, at least lately.

Colback is history

It wasn't unfair at all. As justified as any other player doing badly. Made quite many silly mistakes during different periods of the season. Hopefully he'll learn from them.

102 yellow cards is insane.

In some f***ed up way I hope that Rafa leaves asap so I don't have to bother with this f***ing s*** anymore...Us and Rafa deserve so much more.
-
"courted", is that a new way of putting it? Starting to run out of words with the same meaning.
-
Didn't Sky even fucking ask/question him if he/we can't even compete with the clubs outside of the top 7 at least???
-
Fat cunt doesn't seem to get it that there's a middle ground to what we're "doing" and what City are doing.
-
Hopefully Rafa can convince sleeping bag to let Perez come to us on loan with an option to buy, as we're unambitious and maybe even skint. Deportivo are about to sign Adrian Lopez which should rule them out at least.

Yeah probably a good idea mate. I just need to find the time to go.
