Well if Colo quits then Douglas would replace him, maybe not Colo's role, but he would still replace him as a player. Is this what you are trying to say?

full backs getting the ball off the keeper, either centre half, perch and either sissoko, anita or cabaye if need be. I agree that there would be other options as well, but we need one centrally in midfield as well, and if Cabaye/Sissoko go a bit deeper to look for the ball that would mean that Perch would have to push forward a bit so that we get some playing depth, but then we'd have less quality there instead with Perch in a more offensive position.

If Perch sits in front of our back four someone else of our midfielders would have to go down and receive the ball and start our attacks as i dont see Perch as good enough to do this, that would result in us losing one of our players in a more offensive position as an outlet. A little bit the same as when we play both of Tiote and Anita, both of them coming and looking for the ball trying to do the same job in a way. Same there, we get another CM in a too deep position while losing one option further up the pitch.

At least he would keep possession and be able to put quality balls in to the box.

Don't see any reason to play Perch in this when we have less limited players available. Imo.

Whatever eleven Pardew starts, we'll have to have a positive approach, if not, this could very well become another frustrating shit display inviting Villa in, instead of taking the game to them and let them worry about us.

What did the lineup look like when France played Spain? Cabaye and Sissoko played together iirc. What positions/roles did Cabaye and Sissoko play?

Think Marv would get more space out there than before now that we have Sissoko centrally who will draw attention from the opposition with his runs. At worst, the few times Marv will have the ball out there he'll at least put 100% more quality balls in to the area compared to Obertan/Jonas.

The CB' that do start in this game should also start against Chelsea. And Mbiwa must start, the quicker he comes in and adapts the better we're off for the rest of the season.

I would play: Krul Debuchy. Mbiwa. Coloccini. Santon Anita Cabaye. Sissoko Gouffran. Marveaux Cisse Normally i would like to see Marv centrally, but with HBA injured our wide options don't look good. And i think that when we're in possession Anita would thrive in his natural position spraying the ball around with Sissoko and Yocab in front of him. Marv would give quality service from the left even though it's not his best position, compared to Obertan/Jonas. Or play a central three like: Cabaye. Sissoko Marveaux
