Hasn't Andre Ayew played as a striker? Even though he's more of a winger/forward, been impressed with him the times i've seen him. His end product probably isn't much to shout about, apart from that he's a very good player imo, African though (ACON) Or it might have been Remy who played as a striker as well.

My opinion is No Thanks to Carroll, but i can't come up with many others to go for instead. Would like to see someone like Dembele for that kind of money, even though he probably isn't a striker and might not be very easy to get. But he would fit in nicely in our system if we go 4-3-3/4-2-3-1. But then we still might need a central striker cause of the ACON.

Steady on. He looked promising last year especially in the spring but his market value is nowhere near that. I didn't say his market value is 15 though. His potential though is enormous in my opinion. If he can find consistency and perform to the very high level we know he's capable of we'll have some player at our books. Wouldn't surprise me to see him move for around that sum in the future, honestly. We often forget how young he actually is, myself included. But it could go the other way if he never fullfills the talent he's got. But in my eyes he's a special player and one who hopefully can stay at our club for years to come.
