I think there is genuine interest in the Gordon stories so obviously there will be questions put because fans do want to know what's going on. Howe doesn't have to answer them either, that's up to him.

I'm sure there are journalists who look for the controversial angle, but sometimes they are just asking a genuine question which the fans want to know the answers as well. I'm actually looking forward to playing the last 3 games of this season never mind next season. It might be a long shot, but at least we've still technically got something to play for. Without much pressure as well, although if we are still in with a chance, that might change by the last fixture.

They are probably as easy 3 games as you could expect at this stage of the season. But I still can only see us picking up 7 points at best. I just don't trust this team to go against their form book all season and suddenly win 4 in a row.

People underrate what an impact performances in the UCL have on a player's value. Gordon was banging them in early doors and those are the games Europeans sides take notice of, they probably don't watch all the PL games.

He's not going to get those sort of wages anywhere now so unless he wants to retire, he'll have to drop his demands. I suppose it might depend on if he wants to play at the top level or join some circus outfit outside of Europe that might not punish clubs for throwing money at players regardless of the cost.

I disagree on him about the going forward bit, he can carry the ball very effectively when he's fully fit. His delivery isn't great though, so he's limited in that aspect. But that's his only weakness.

He is everywhere, opponents must feel like they barely get room to breathe. I think that is what other teams will value, even if he isn't on Bruno levels with the ball.

You would hope that is what the change in policy is about. Wilson will presumably be more willing to give the green light and Howe might be more open to it than he has been traditionally.

It was reported earlier in the season. We'd been in talks with him a while then we ended up shelving until the summer after he didn't take up the offer.
