  1. Warnock is a pillock. There's no way he can ever get the most out of a premier league side, most of his players would lose respect for him within one week of being at the club. Self-publicising twat.
  2. So now that's not all You win the anal argument award, I'll let you have that one.

    Leon Best

Seems strange to say it but Carroll had his least effective games for us against Samba and Haangeland, yet Best's given both of them a bit of a battering. He's a lot better in the air than I first realised.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I would wait until Ben Arfa's completed a season in the premier before making any comparisons with Rooney who has after all been there, seen it, done it and bought the t shirt.
  5. But I thought people couldn't afford it? Make your mind up. I also think that had we been playing poorly and results had been poor, following the transfer window, a lot more people would have stopped going, including those superfan card players. There was a lot of frustration following the transfer window, when we were again fed a pack of lies by these wankers and lot of threats were made, but as one of the lads above said, you get that "next season will be better" feeling. Are you incapable of understanding that both finances and the ownership could be contributing towards declining attendances? If you are then what are you talking about when you say make your mind up?
  6. I think if we keep playing good football and the likes of Ben Arfa can get people excited again we'll see near full capacity at some games. Crowds have been dwindling around the country, we're still one of the best supported teams tbh.

Of course we aren't, but aren't you secretly happy that he thinks we can?
  8. If Jonas is dropped at some point, the last reason ever would be because he is not running/working hard enough I'm a massive Jonas fan and I've defended him on this thread when he was getting real stick before now so I'm a big fasn of his running. But I don't think he likes making runs to score goals unless he has the ball at his feet. You rarely see him moving into a goal scoring position when the ball is on the opposite wing. If you watch wingers who score goals they often arrive at the far post when their opposite number crosses from the other side. Ok you may have a point on running off the ball when we are attacking. He does do lots of off the ball running when we are defending though. No argument there, he covers as much ground as anyone.

  10. None of the people I know have problems with their disposable income though. I think if you asked a vast majority of fans whether we should have sold Nolan or given him a new contract most would have said give him a contract. Would that make them right? What? What is it you don't understand Johnny? I take it you read my previous posts which led to that remark? I don't see what relevance that post has to what Jonny is saying. If you take it out of context and ignore the rest of the discussion you are probably right, it has no relevance.
  11. Can't believe how good he was bringing the ball out yesterday. I think the new style and mobility of the side has just made him look even better, if that's possible.
  12. The thought that they would be after another striker after signing both Connor Wickham and Bendtner on loan is just too stupid to give the time of day ffs. Brewcies next signing will be at the DSS unfortunately.

  14. I think it's more likely that Sunderland will try and sign Eric Pieters as they have no decent left back, and like King Kunny, Bruce does most of his scouting at St James Park.
  15. Watching the highlights again in the first half Cabaye released Obertan with a fantastic ball and he went haring towards the goal with only one defender in the way. I noticed Jonas just jogging along on the other side when he could easily have raced towards the penalty area and got into a goal scoring position instead of just letting Obertan try and score on his own. I think that attitude might cost him his place in the long run.

  17. Like I said, I can respect people having their opinion but I'd rather have a fat cunt in charge who will improve us on the pitch and keep us financially stable than a prick who makes the right noises but runs off with the loot while leaving us in debt with an ageing squad being paid shitloads to under-perform.
  18. He used to do that when he first came into the side but it's been gradually lost in the last couple of years since we went down and started playing more long ball stuff. No doubt as we put more emphasis on possession he'll start distributing it short more.
  19. You're so sure it's down to cash, yet our prices aren't that expensive. Sounds to me like you want it to be because people can't afford it. Few replies, but two (myself included) point towards the owners. General apathy, poor match day experience, ownership, negativity, contempt, money better spent on the kids are probably all factors. All wouldn't be an issue (for me) if it wasn't for the man that gets constantly excused for his disastrous tenure by many. It's nice to know who the NUFC fans spokesperson is though. I'm sure there are people who refuse to go to games because they don't like Ashley which is fine, it's their money, they can spend it where they like. My view is if someone like Shepherd was in charge there'd be even more unhappy people in the long run because a local owner sometimes can't make the right business decisions because emotions cloud their judgement. Especially if they are thick as pig shit to start with.

    Leon Best

That's the best I've seen him play, and honestly at times I had to double check that it was Best on the ball because he was so quick with his feet and around the pitch. His confidence looks sky high and he looks twice the player as a result. Honestly I'd be happy with any two from Best, Ba and HBA right now and I never thought I'd have said that before today.
  21. People can't afford it, that's all. The NUFC fanbase isn't made up of rich luvvies like those who support London teams or Man U. It's got little to do with Ashley, if the price of a ticket was slashed by half the ground would be sold out. Our ticket prices are a lot better than most clubs of our stature as well so it's not as if they are over priced either.

    Alan Pardew

Yes Dave, it's all tragic so far isn't it?
  23. Yep. Spurs are definitely top 6 material, if we look the part against them I think we're in business.
