  1. Looks like we're going for the long ball tactics again.
  2. I think Pieters will sign this week and there's a possibility that we might get Maiga in as well. I read somewhere that his club had agreed to release him if they got a replacement in so it's not straightforward but I imagine the Roux deal is a back up in case. I have a feeling though if we don't get Maiga it will be no striker coming in.
  3. That's my concern for tomorrow, the onus is going to be on us to make things happen. Not quite convinced Pardew knows what's the best way to do that. I've got two tips he could give to his players 1. Tim - don't hoof that ball down the pitch. Throw it to a team mate and watch him scamper forward! 2. Full backs - don't hoof the ball down the pitch....pass to a player nearby then enjoy the possession that ensues!

Torres is crap now. Gay is out. Well I hope Roux cuts off his gay reins before he comes here http://0e.img.v4.skyrock.net/0e5/chtilensoi59480/pics/1958495071_small_1.jpg Disagree. The hair's so bad it's good. Pity the shirt doesn't come with the package though, he looks like a fruit salad.
  5. Hearing the Kop singing the Enrique song made me feel sick. It's nothing a bomb couldn't fix though.
  6. That's because they have obviously been instructed to pass from the back. We have been wellying it high and hard and Pardew has done nothing to change it. We haven't even had a chance to put our best team out together yet! Plus we have a few key players who have just come in from clubs outside the country. All liverpool's additions are all already adjusted to the league. People need to be more patient and not so negative imo. Thank God we are at least still getting results in the meantime. I'm not negative, but when I see our goalkeeper whacking balls 50 yds down the pitch without fail, I know that no one has told him to throw the ball out to a full back. I always find that a worry because that's how the best teams start off their moves when they can. I agree it's early days but that's a basic. I definitely agree with you about the fullbacks being key to starting off moves, and that's going to be an issue unfortunately. Simpson on the right is just so poor with his use of the ball, as he just hoofs it as soon as anyone even threatens to come close. Really key that we get left back that is more comfortable and composed in these situations. Having said that, you would still hope that we would still be able to move the ball better than we have, even without the luxury of having these types of fullbacks, and I think it will certainly improve. I hope Pardew is doing what Keegan did when he took over from Allardyce and encouraging the players to pass the ball and not panic. If he is then we might see some change in the next few games.

We''ll take the one which accepts our offer and tell the other one the deal's off? Could you imagine being the one rejected I can't imagine they'll be overjoyed.

I would be wary of getting my hopes up until one of these players at least flies in for a medical. It looks like we are pressing home a deal but we've been here before on deadline day.

  11. Nope. While Suarez is key, Liverpool generally are set up quite nicely and they rarely hold the ball too long. Hate to say it but they look well organized while none of their players are great dribblers, as a unit they pass it very well.

I wonder why he lamped that guy? Couldn't take a bit of friendly piss taking is my guess.
  14. Suarez is the player making Liverpool tick, and King Kunny probably had nothing to do with his signing.
  15. That's what you pay £13m for a class striker for. game meandering to a 0-0 draw then ...bang! Out of nowhere the chance is buried. At some other game.
  16. The best thing about him is his name. Sully Montari is just brill tbh. I want him here just to read it on the team sheet.

I thought we could but chose not to, it's gross misconduct, fairly sure we could sack him with no come back. nope I'm sure Joey's legal team were threatening Ashley with a lawsuit if we tried to sack him.

Are we allowed to sack him or will we still have to pay his wages? Just wondering as we couldn't sack Barton when he was banged up.
  19. I don't know which Ryan Taylor you've been watching but the one I know has never bypassed a defender in his life.

One of the two is going to be extremely pissed that we led them up the garden path is my guess.
  21. probably too far but I couldn't resist.
  22. I can see Joey putting in a late challenge on Cabaye at some point in the game. Payback for wrecking his and Nolan's midfield cartel at Newcastle.
  23. They're losing 1-0. Joey will probably go into the changing rooms and start ranting at his new team mates before flooring Neil Warnock with a right cross.
