  1. You're certainly soft in the head. But ive been more newcastle matches than you have had hot dinners. (are you somalian) why don't you stop buying season tickets and stop lining cockney spiv's wallet then? I am 39. I have had a ST since i was 15. I have not renewed this year, i will still go the aways and renew when he no longer owns the club. Fine, that's your prerogative, but having been to more games than a Somalian or an Egytpian doesn't necessarily mean you're right and the other lad's wrong. Just saying.

  3. Ah ok guess we won't get him then. You won't offer him a 4 year deal? cockney spiv bastards!
  4. He's going to be sticking it to us as well if he destroys the dressing room, which appears to be high on his agenda. He's already started according to my man ITK. Snuck into the ground tonight and took a sledgehammer to the ice bath. He hasn't got round to poking a cigar in the Janitor's eye yet then?

  6. Fair's probably not the best term for it. If he wanted to go there he could just as easily have handed in a transfer request rather than opening a twitter account to spread s**** and lower the fee for the club that's tapping him up. Care to explain why, if he was so desperate to go as is claimed, there was any need for the Twitter bollocks (or a transfer request), when the club were trying to sell him anyway? I've asked this about 10 times in this thread and still not had a decent answer. If we were so eager to sell, why we letting him go for free? Barton has made it clear he would not be sold at any price. He wanted to see out his contract or go for nothing. I believe it was a matter of principal following the manner of Carroll's departure, whereby the pushed him into the corner of a transfer request (which I think he was a t*** for submitting). The club therefore had a player who they would be forced to spend another £3m in wages on and who guaranteed a zero return. As with EVERY decision made at the club, this one was made to save money. Ashley's view is £3m is worth more than 30 odd appearances over the season from JB. I've heard the argument that 'if he wanted to go where's the transfer request' thing, yet by the same token if we were so desperate to get rid, why didn't we transfer list him? I'm sure some club would have spent £2-3m on him now. That's what I covered in my post. He had no intention of being sold at any price. He'd just have turned down any club that came in for him. Great that he's helping his new club to get a better deal. Super going Spurs
  7. Of the clubs mentioned so far that's the only decent one I think is realistic. Plus it's 'arry's way of working to tap someone up and then get him to work himself to get the price lowered. Throw in the fact Mikey's a closet Spurs fan and some conspiracy shit and you have a winner

Yep. Bunch of cunts. A cockney bunch of cunts no less. Unfortunately no geordie saviours have got two pennies to rub together otherwise we wouldn't be going through this agony. The only one who had some capital was Fat Fred and he ran out of Newcastle with a 40m swag bag and was last seen trying to buy some Spanish club for £10m. Doesn't have to be a geordie, just preferably not a complete cunt. Good luck with that then.

  10. What? By Barton's agent?
  11. If it's true he wouldn't sign unless he got a 4 year deal then we did the right thing in withdrawing the 3 year contract IMO. Him and Nolan tried to use each other as leverage for big money and now are on a wrecking mission because their bluff was called. It's footballs equivalent of a scorched earth policy.
  12. But he said on Talksport Joey wasn't offered a contract at all. Ashley and Derek are the only liars as has been proven. Willie McKay is a veritable angel from heaven whose words are nuggets of truth blessed from above.
  13. He's not average. Of course he is. He has no pace, lacks stamina and doesn't score many goals. He's a decent set piece taker and has good passing skills but in general he's a very limited player. He was performing well in a side that was at times perfect for him. This is what I have said many times here. Not a popular opinion but that's not a surprise.

I've asked this about 10 times in this thread and still not had a decent answer. What do you expect the club to do if his contract isn't going to be renewed? Try to give him away for free? He still had a year left by the way, Pardew seemed more than happy for him to stay and play on, and Ashley was reportedly okay with players seeing their final year out. Obviously he'd prefer to sell but the player doesn't have to leave if he doesn't want to.
  15. Fair's probably not the best term for it. If he wanted to go there he could just as easily have handed in a transfer request rather than opening a twitter account to spread shite and lower the fee for the club that's tapping him up. and if we wanted to keep him we could've given him a fair contract this summer. we dont want to keep him because we dont want to pay what he's worth as a footballer, again. At the moment it looks like no one else wants to pay him what he's worth either unless they get him on a free. If he's all that you would have thought these mega clubs would have stumped up the odd million or so it would have took to buy him rather than resort to getting him to play up and reduce the fee to nowt. Tron, why do you always need your mind made up for you on a player depending on which club they sign for? I can make up my own mind and Barton wide right is absolute quality. By your logic, all our players are automatically shit by virtue of playing for us. My view on Barton is the same as it's always been. He's a decent player for a mid table premier team. I'd be happy for him to be here in the right circumstances but I don't think he needs a contract for life to stay here. He wasn't so great in central midfield and if we lose him out wide we have an option to bring in someone with a bit more pace. These players aren't superstars, they are decent at best. The real issue is whether we will actually replace them, and that's where I have my doubts.
  16. I think we'll only know the real answer to this in a year or two. Villa and Liverpool have been spending like crazy for a few years but Villa are now selling to buy, and Liverpool were up shit creek if the previous owners hadn't taken the fall for their recklessness. There has to be a wage structure in place, what might be questioned is whether we have set it too low.
  17. You don't think Marveaux, Cabaye and Ben Arfa are good additions? That's beside the point. How does taking that stance aid the Cocknee Wankas Out campaign?

  20. Barton must be gutted the club didn't put him on the transfer list. No loyalty bonus for you, you grasping conniving scamp
  21. Its pretty odd like. The overreaction on here to some twitter comments was strange enough, let alone this. You're both living in a fucking fairly land if you think its fine for a player to continually slate his employer in public. I'd love to see these same people slate their own employers in public then still walk into the office expecting a pay cheque.
  22. This twitter business is a lark isn't it Joey? #helmet
  23. Barton has been angling for this ever since signing up for twitter. No intention of giving 100% for the final year of his highly paid contract despite all the big talk. I'm amazed so many people are ignoring this despite Ashley bashing being the easy option.
  24. Aye. The people apologising for this 65k/week cunt make me vomit.
  25. Joey has got what he wanted. Now he'll fight for his loyalty bonus claiming he never wanted to leave while sabotaging the club from the inside like an aids virus.
