wasn't it yesterday that Douglas was tweeting about unbelievable stuff going on in the unhappy NUFC camp in the States on the basis of what Brenner from the Sun was leaking? They are peddling trash to sell papers man. None of them have a clue.

End of the day Jose isn't disgusted enough with our lack of spending to hand in a transfer request. People are calling Modric all sorts (including Wullie I believe) but when he wanted away at least he had the nuts to hand one in and give up his loyalty bonus. It's about money and fuck all else.
-
probably just as well you're not a gambling man then
-
No problem with Jose having ambition but he should have put in a transfer request rather than slag the club in order to get his loyalty bonus.
-
It's clear we've opted for the cheaper deal in Marveaux both in fees and wages probably. This doesn't mean Marveaux's not a quality player but obviously Zog was tried and tested. The proof will be in the pudding next season when we compare how our respective clubs get on.
-
Exactly. No direct attack on players we've already signed either. It doesn't need to be a direct attack when an indirect one has the same effect. Fuck off to Liverpool by all means you Scouse/Spick twat, but don't pretend you aren't fighting for your loyalty bonus when you obviously are.

We are desperately in need of some good news after Enrique's defection and the journalists sensationalising it to the detriment of our club. Let's hope we clinch this one and stick two fingers up to MIS Douglas and Steve Brenner the scum.
-
He'd have had a very large input. Don't forget, these Americans arrived here knowing nothing at all about the game and how things work. MON stepped forward, said "I'll do it" and they let him do that. If they hadn't let him do this, they'd have been accused of not backing the manager. Their mistake was to back him so unequivocally. It was only when they'd wised up to a few things that they asked him to work on the wage bill and the selfish cunt threw his toys out the pram at a time designed to cause us the maximum trouble, the vindictive shit. Sounds familiar. Substitute Americans with Cockney wankers and you have our story a few years ago basically.

It's all starting to sound too much like the fallout after relegation. Some players don't want to be here any more and they need to be shipped out before spreading the poison into the dressing room. Bassong and Beye were super players for us but they needed to go to clear the air. Same with Shay Given at the time.
-
There's been very upbeat quotes from Taylor and some of the new recruits as well. Brenner might just be talking sensationalist shite.
-
Fucking hope that's not true, given the absences, injuries and so on I was hoping we'd at least get some team bonding out of it. It might just mean the players who are leaving are disgruntled, i.e, Jose and his mates. Team spirit is down to Pardew now, I hope he's up to it.
-
He'll be loving the Liverpool fans in a weeks time. "Best fans ever/magnifique...blah blah etc" Just fuck off and pick up your 100k a week already.
-
Thats true but you take it to the owners and manager and complain you dont tweet it and make us a laughing stock again. The sentiment is right but the delivery of it by Jose is completely brainless, Nolan has said nothing and thats a proper pro's reaction not a spoilt childs. Exactly. He's on his way and doesn't give a shit about his current team mates because he's no longer going to be a part of it.
-
No need to unsettle the new players, and give the papers something to talk about in the mean time. Yeah that's really disappointing. We have new signings here and the last thing we needed was one of our best players shitting on the club in public.
-
I can't really argue if Enrique is saying we haven't offered him enough money to stay. Because that's what this is really about at the end of the day. He seems to be moaning that he's not being offered more than he's already on, which is fair enough from both sides tbh. He can get more somewhere else and we probably can't get close to offering what Liverpool or Barcelona will offer. The lack of ambition is a bit of a smokescreen IMO.
-
Quite unlike Paul 'Usain Bolt' Scholes, or the Lightening Kid, Ryan Giggs? Both are/were pretty sharp about the pitch, and as soon as they lose that sharpness they start getting pushed further down the line for a starting place. Scholes has retired now in any case.
-
However good a player Barton is technically, he's far too slow around the pitch to play for a team like Man U who are all about dynamic movement and passing at speed. That's why these rumours always make me laugh, anyone who looks at the make up of sides like Arsenal and Man U would see straight away that those managers would never seriously consider Barton.
-
We'll find out how badly we want him if we beat Lille and Galatasaray to his signature. Who's to say it's not us who have been fucking around for weeks?
-
Just like there was something in the stories that Arsenal were waiting to swoop no doubt.
-
Douglas went as far to say we have agreed terms with him (this was a week or so ago) but it was the agent that scuppered the deal. It's probably his agent who is still trying to flog him to the other supposedly interested clubs.
-
Shearer: "Of course, you don’t want to lose your top players and Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan were probably Newcastle’s two best players." IIRC Shearer dropped Nolan during our relegation season and fell out with Barton who also thought Shearer was clueless along with his clueless mate Dowie. Shearer now changing tack completely and describing Nolan as one of our two best players doesn't surprise me in the least. He's as slippery as a politician and just as untrustworthy.
-
don't give a shit tbh. Liverpool lost to Hull 3-0 in a warm up game. I'd find that far more worrying if I was a Liverpool fan.
-
With Nolan gone I think Joey will be instrumental this season if he stays which is looking increasingly likely. Cabaye sounds more of a creative sort, and if we are going to go 4-3-3 then having two players like Tiote and Barton with a bit of steel about them sitting in will be important.

Let the man-crushes begin...
