Fitz Hall signs from QPR on loan for remainder of the season
TRon replied to ToonTastic's topic in Football
end of story. Thank you and goodnight. -
On reflection I would far rather have Williamson here than Kilgallon. Routledge has already spoken of the special bond the players have here, we don't want that spoiled by money hungry graspers like Kilgallon. He's far better off joining the increasingly miserable mercenaries at Stadium of Shite.

The toon are back. See you on the way down mackems.

It's only cover, I'm surprised Ashley sanctioned it after buying Williamson. -
Been turned down according to the Journal. EDIT: Also mentioned he'd rather not go to a premier club where he'll sit on the bench so I think we are in with a great shout.

That sounds almost as crazy as the idea of playing Milner through the middle. Which daft beggar thought that one up?
-
We did offer him a contract. That's why he's playing for us rather than some prem team. Aye, after sending him a letter to tell him we didn't want him anymore at the end of last season. We obviously wanted him more than any other team at the end of the day. Pretty hard to argue with that since he's here.
-
Yeah you are right actually. It's always Beardsley and Ferdinand that stuck in my mind during that game, also Ginola for some reason. Probably because they were the players who the hopeless cloggers had a hard time getting to grips with.

If you never understood the mackem inferiority complex before it you should have a better idea now then. Shearer wasn't playing.
-
He thought that as well until no prem team came in for him even when he was out of contract.
-
Except we've never been as good since we got rid of the "problem" players in our squad. We improved in the league the following season when Robert left. We improved the following year on Dyer leaving. We did get relegated when Milner left though How did we do when Robert and Dyer were in our first team compared to after Milner arrived? If you are going to draw daft comparisons then you should at least not play with the stats to suit your own viewpoint.

Thats what this football club needs a second stricker I don't think we had one since Bellamy. I'd like a fucking decent 1st one before tbh Lovenkrands is decent. Hardly.
-
It was Euro 96. Did Shearer even play in the game at Roker Park though? No but he was still the subject of the chants. Sunderland went ahead, Beardsley and Ferdinand shut them up IIRC.
-
I tell you what pisses me off. These bastards clearly hate us, just like the smogs but as soon as we open up a radio station they fill the fucking airwaves with their constant moaning. Metro, Radio, Century/Real, and now even Radio Newcastle's phone-ins are clogged before it's even got off the ground. Just fuck off and rig up your own transistors you sad mackem twats.
-
Reminds me of when Keegan took us to Roker Park in their season back after promotion. The disgraceful chants at Alan Shearer after his heroics for England in the World Cup sums them up tbh. Inferiority complex, and totally justified.
-
That would kind of fly in the face of Ashley's reputation as a tight arse tbh. More likely he's a young player available at a knock down price which fits the Ashley blueprint perfectly. It's good sense from a business perspective.
-
I was surprised, I haven't seen much of him but a lot of fans have said he wasn't interested after his inital impact, so I wouldn't have thought he was a logical choice for RB. Fair play to Hughton as well, for all the talk of him being a yes man he has made some fairly brave decisions when it comes to subs.

Do you think we will finish in the top 2? Yes or No

Remi is 49, he'll be on a par with our midfield. I'll bet he could beat a couple of them over 100m. Dodgy knees or not! -
fuck off man
-
It's a disgrace really. Ashley's such a scumbag hiring cheap foreign labour instead of following the example of Britain's most successful retailers like Primark.

I've never come across anybody with worse judgement on strikers. His senior career started about 12 years ago. 6 years into that career the team about to win the premiership paid £25m to sign him. Explain to me how that equates to him being 'w*** for the majority of his pro career'. Mm i remember after harewood come on as a substitute in his debut here and you immediately started posting 'he has got to start our next league game' ignoring his match fitness and just about everything else. your knowledge is kinda shocking, so that's kinda cheeky. Do you remember who scored in our 'next league game'? You wanted to start a striker with 15 minutes of football under his belt that entire season? Ahead of Carroll and Ranger, yes. And in hindsight, it would have won us the game. watched him for 15 minutes, the only football has played that season, barely played the season before, and you wanted him to start.. it doesn't surprise me from you that's truly ridiculous. Ronaldo's right about one thing...seeing Michael Owen in a Newcastle kit every time you post does undermine the credibility slightly. Seeing as Owen wouldn't see fit to wipe his arse with a toon shirt.
-
I like them both tbh, Beckford is going to get more goals, but Ranger's link up lay is better. Neither has proven themselves at a higher level either, but I reckon they'd have looked pretty good together. You saw the real Nile last night hurtling towards goal & scoring. This link up play bollocks you have been banging on about since the Leicester game is not his sort of game as his confidence picks up you will see less & less of him playing with his back to goal & passing it backwards. HE FUCKING THRIVES ON BURSTING FORWARD GOING FOR GOAL & BEING ON THE END OF CROSSES!!!! That's even better. Because we've seen he has the ability to link up play, if he also has the ability to smash the ball in the net on a regular basis he is going to be a star.
-
I reckon the bid is genuine enough, and we are probably in with a decent chance of signing him as the likes of Ranger and Simpson will have bigged us up if they are in touch with Moses. The biggest obstacle now is Palace are clearly using our interest to try and flush out Premier clubs. We'll just have to see how this one pans out. Have to say, this is the sort of signing I would be happy about even if we were a premier side.
