  1. Let's all burst a blood vessel just in case it's true
  2. It's the same EVERY SINGLE JANUARY WINDOW Calm down people. It's more than likely that we'll sign nobody of any note, but we can't complain that deals haven't been completed at a time where they never are. wanna bet?
  3. At least the loan signings wasn't BS. They are going to be playing in a training match along with Lovenkrands on Tuesday apparently.
  4. “If you look at Kevin’s and Joe’s record I think mine stands up against theirs.” What a fucking cheek. The football Keegan's team was playing at the end of last season was on a different planet. I hope the abuse rains down from all four corners on Saturday. Cheeky bastard.
  5. Of course they'll stay up, the Blackburn team Hughes left him was an identikit long ball team to the Bolton team Sam built. Allardyce's real test came at Newcastle where he tried to adapt his style to proper footballers, just like Hughes is failing with City's footballers since he went there. Both managers look like one trick ponies at this moment in time.
  6. Any owner who can only afford to buy us once we have been relegated doesn't have two pennies to rub together so let's put that one to bed right now.
  7. But then people complain about the silence? Is there no one out there who mightbelieve that thisistheclubs reaction to the fans wanting more communication? I don't think we need to know exactly which player we've bid for and how much, that might be taking things too far. Anyway, I'm starting to think this is all a smokescreen, we are probably bidding on a totally different player. It makes no sense to get everyone's hopes up unless everything is more or less tied up. Does the club know this though? So you believe him when he says he's bid £5m? Maybe it isnt the game of checkers that everyone seems to think it is, i think the clubs been very clever with the way they've conducted transfers in the past, i see no reason why it should beany different now. That's just it...it is different to how they've done things. With Guttierez and Coloccini no one had a clue and the club kept their cards very close to their chest. Even when the modric bid was made, Mort who was the chairman kept his mouth shut until it was leaked from the Croatian end. That's what makes me think this is probably a smokescreen. But the statemnt they released after ht ekeegan debacle said he was not allowed to talk about transfers, now kinnear IS allowed, is there no possbility that they are allowing this as a reaction to some of the fan wanting more communication? Fans want more communication from the owner and his chairman, to tell us of their plans, hopes and expectations, I don't think it's expected that every transfer target should be publicised. If the policy of managers not being allowed to discuss transfer targets was there it was there for a reason. I don't see any reason that would be changed if it was in the club's interest. Which leads back to my original post, do the club know this? The fans wanted more commuication, and now they're getting it on an issue which was a contentiuos one over the summer. Im not saying that the club are being gracious to us or whatsoever, all im saying is that the fans havent got exactly what they want and they're complaining of the fact. I don't think the club are so stupid to assume the fans wanted JK blabbing about signings he hasn't made yet. If they want to communicate why doesn't Llambias open his mouth now and then? Wouldn't that be a better way to actually communicate? There's no reason to logically believe that that isnt what the fans want? Not logically, no. Just to add, i think the part you didn't bold is what the fans are looking for wrt communication. I'm not an Ashley hater, but I think he has been found wanting in this regard.
  8. If it's true then I can only assume that Ashley is planning on making an impact in the transfer market otherwise he'd probably keep his head low. More power to his chequebook if that's the case.

  10. Cracking article that. Absolutely nailed the fat git, no mercy. Makes me feel lucky we've got Kinnear!

  15. Fucking hell, what a mentalist wouldnt fucking trust joe Kinnear with that freezer training carry on. .......Quick joe open the door, the team are fucking freezing to death, joe quick, joe, oh fuck hes lost the key, and is fighting with the butcher, ... rip football team.
  16. Neither can I, although he'd be useful for the next two months. He'll want big wages and we'll have two 30yr olds fighting for one spot next season.
  17. I don't want to get my hopes up, it'll probably go tits up anyway. Exactly the sort of player we need though.
  18. I don't think anyone has said that we should "get rid" of Owen. He is going whether we like it or not, some might want to shed tears about it, others like me will see him off with a V sign. In the meantime though I will support him and hope he continues to score goals.
  19. yes but when ur paying someone over 100k a week you expect fucking 10x better then what he's doing at the moment It's not just Owen's fault, there is absolutely zero goals contribution from the midfielders. Duff, Butt, Jonas and Guthrie....how many have they got between them in half a season? It's pathetic.
  20. We better sign them after Kinnear's told the whole world about it.
  21. Which of our players really cares about the club? :S Jonas, Taylor, Martins and Shay Jonas? says who? he's been here 5 minutes! I'd say Beye and Shola You can tell man. He's a legend. Doesn't make any difference if Jonas has been here 5 months or 5 mins, he runs his heart out most games, if everyone else did the same there would be few complaints. He runs a lot agreed. He produces very little of note. He produces space for others by beating players if nothing else.
