  1. Anderson might be inexperienced, but he's got ability, and you know he'll be right up for it. I reckon he'd do well tomorrow.
  2. Just checking the thread title to make sure I'm in the right thread.
  3. I'm happy to go with Andersen, Bruno and Longstaff if there's even the slightest doubt about Tonali's fitness. Save the touch and go players for West Ham.

    Kieran Trippier

Barton was a weird one. He seemed to be everywhere, certainly got up and down that right flank, but I don't recall him having much of a delivery or even being an especially good defender. He never stopped running though, I guess that would make him good to play with if you were looking for someone to pass to.
  5. Would be ok if there wasn't also talk about Isak carrying a knock. How much truth there is in that I don't know.
  6. It's absolutely shit. Not happy with the light show spoilers either.
  7. Looking at our side which is pretty much ravaged by injuries, I don't think anyone should be having anyeurisms. PSG are one of the best sides in the world, even at full strength it would be a real test. For me with so many key players out or doubtful, this is a free hit. If we can get a result it will be a fantastic achievement given Lascelles will be in the back four and we still don't know if we have a fit striker to turn out. I still think we'll have a good go at them though, and with Anderson and Longstaff in the midfield maybe we can rattle them with the high press.
  8. Against that, we seem to have players dropping like flies, all key players as well. Botman, Barnes, Joelinto and Willock are all out, and both our strikers have some sort of injury niggles.
  9. This. Even if he hadn't scored yesterday, he was doing some great stuff yesterday. A few times he popped up centrally and shimmied through a couple of tackles I thought it was Bruno at first.

No it wasn't, I agree. Not every bad decision is because of bias, but the system is open to abuse if the occasion might call for it.

I wasn't referring to one particular game. It was about the overall process.

There's nothing wrong with VAR if it's not being operated by peole without any human bias. But obviously the cunts in charge of VAR are the same as the rest of us. Massively fucking biased.
  13. PSG won't be just about Mbappe, I'm sure they have bought some plenty good players in the last few years aside from him. We're at home, just pick a side to get after them.
  14. Oh no! Money being invested into our club instead of debt being loaded on!

    As opposed to bias no.

No one cares about incompetence, that evens itself out. VAR if it's used properly will at least rule out local bias. The problem is, at the moment VAR is controlled by humans who are inherently biased.

Good point. Should probably add 10 pts to the expected total from here on in.
  18. Watching MOTD highlights today noticed both Casimero and Odegaard copied wor Bruno's stud rollover technique. I wonder what else he'll teach the leading players of the PL during his time here?

Maybe the football's got too technical and quick these days? Our refs were brought up in the days of hoofing it long, and kicking forwards 4ft into the air. All the tiki taka stuff in the PL is probably discombobulating them. No point in blaming VAR either, the job of video assisted refs is clearly to support their guy on the field. Unless the decision goes in favour of an uppity club trying to put one over the big six.
  20. Just about looks like a passable side to put out against PSG, but Botman is a massive blow. I'm on the fence about Tonali as well. He's got the extra touch of class needed in Europe, but feel like Andersen would make our press harder to bypass.
  21. For once he might actually have a point.
  22. Thought they were lucky tbh, don't think they handled it well at all.
  23. Hating Liverpool aside, that's not a great result for us. Spurs confidence was about to take a massive hit after failing to make any inroads against 9 men.
