Suitable place for him, the detestable cunt.
-
Prefer it with Jonas personally, think having Ben Arfa and N'Zogbia in the team would mean his lack of end product wouldn't be so much of an issue. The pace of that front 4 would be a bit tasty like.
-
Might be cheaper than buying two players for 7m and paying two sets of wages, so you never know.
-
Thought we'd loan him out again... guess we don't really rate him though. Thought he looked like he might be useful player given time, disappointing that he doesn't looked to have convinced us he can be a good player for us. He does seem keen to move to Brighton though, maybe there are certain elements of the lifestyle that appeal to him down there?
-
No idea who but would be tempted to get an old head at centre back, obviously not a Sol Campbell but some experienced, mean bastard who is happy to be back up. I realise that's probably as fantasy land as us signing a real top class striker but in a perfect world... Nah, we need younger, sexier players.
-
Long as he's not the only striker we bring in then it's a great move, Best is the only striker on our books who isn't guaranteed to be completely useless next season (and even he might be). We need real competition for spots. Hoping we get a new #9 and either N'Zogbia or Gervinho, that'd be a great window pretty much wrapped up. Get Enrique to sign a new deal and it'd be the icing on the cake.
-
We should be moving aggressively to try and sign N'Zogbia at this point. It does seem that he's the backup plan for if we don't get Gervinho, but we're playing a dangerous game and will end up with neither if we mess about too long. If Gervinho is intent on waiting for better options to come forward then odds are he's not going to make a decision on us until his hand is forced. What real incentive is there for him to sign for us now if the offer is going to sit on the table indefinitely? We should get a deal for N'Zogbia outlined, then give Gervinho 24 hours to sign or else we pull the offer off the table and bring in N'Zogbia. If Gervinho says yes and the club get their first target then great, if not we get a quality player anyway.
-
Or that time we signed nobody after trying to sign Rooney...

Really think it'll be great if the day Smith finally leaves everyone on the forum gets absolutely wasted and we have a big "Alan Smith leaving party" thread where we just get drunk and talk shite. I'm doing it anyway. And don't you dare merge it into this thread Dave, this thread is full of pain and suffering and would not fit in with the joy we'll all be feeling.

There's a place for Jonas every week IMO. Having players like Ben Arfa and hopefully Gervinho/N'Zogbia in the team would help him immensely as we wouldn't be relying on Jonas as one of our main creative outlets. Every team however needs players who'll work hard and have the athleticism to bring the ball forward on the deck, which Jonas is fantastic at. Problem of course is once a team doubles up on Jonas in the final third he's pretty much nullified as a threat because his final ball is poor, but hopefully we'll have some others to do that next year.
-
Disagree, would genuinely rather we have a raffle at the stadium and the winner gets a game in midfield.
-
He probably could be a decent player in time, but his attitude off the field seems to be piss poor by all accounts and he also seems a complete and utter tit who's more interested in being all straight G yo than he is in improving himself as a footballer (as evidenced by the fact that he hasn't improved at all as a footballer since he got here). Not only does this shit attitude really hinder any potential development, but it's also a very negative presence at the club. If he was some sort of special talent then maybe you put up with it, but he's not so the negatives of having him around outweigh the potential gain IMO.
-
He's going to be a useful sub.
-
Replace Smith.
-
Definitely going out for a few pints the day he leaves. Worst player we've ever had IMO.
-
Aye, not really arsed about this like. Definitely don't want to see him leave, but he has two years left on his deal and ideally in two years time I'd want us to have better players than him in the team.

"Real radio" priced out of live commentary next season.

Apparently one time Giggs scored a late goal in a game and then ten minutes later someone came along and posted 'Giggs has scored' in the thread for the other games. Now apparently if you post anything that someone has posted before then it's hilarious to post the Giggs face. In fact, someone has probably already explained this before somewhere on the forum... so this post itself is a "Giggs". So if someone posts a Giggs face after this post, it'll be unbelievably funny. -

Do people actually find the Giggs thing funny btw? Going to be HILARIOUS if some witty cunt Giggs' this post by the way. -
Won't be at all arsed to see him gone. Strikers who are no threat whatsoever to score a goal generally aren't that useful.

I don't think it'd be comparable to the Owen situation at all. Owen was taking a massive step down to join us, whereas with Gameiro it'll still be a step up coming here, even if it's not necessarily the step up he was hoping for. He'll still have everything to prove, whereas you always felt Owen thought he was doing us a huge favour by coming here, the little cunt.

Barca should buy Bale and play him left back tbh, he'd be fucking class in that team.
-
What was wrong with his holiday pictures like?

I don't think it's completely impossible like. If he wants to stay In England then we'd certainly have a shot if we're interested. Can't see Chelsea or City going near him, Liverpool wouldn't seem likely either. Think he'd be a really good signing for Arsenal, but he doesn't seem like a typical Wenger signing. That leaves Spurs as the only team in the Premiership I'd not give us much shot against in a transfer fight, and I'm not sure what the vibe is between him and the club after how he left. I'm sure if he fancies a move abroad then there'll be plenty of clubs on the continent willing to take him on, and I certainly wouldn't put any money on us signing him, but I don't see why it's impossible either?

Dog meat is so good, I consider not eating it to be barbaric. It's really sound the way they torture the dog to death like. Right, because you westerners treat your cattle so humanely. I've no problems at all with people eating dogs. Seems a bit unnecessary to go absolutely our of your way to make the animal suffer as painful a death as is possible though. Cattle farmers in Ireland don't tend to that, to the best of my knowledge.
