What does that even mean? Think it means they'd have been good, though Mike may not even know himself.
-
Shak, man. Curt Menefee is working the studio at Wembley with the NFL music. Hey, at least they're speaking English on your fucking TV.
-
Aye great game, credit to Man Utd for not just coming out and playing backs to the wall. Guardiola will have to be pretty pissed off though. Barca just stopped playing after they took the lead.
-
Barca completely took the foot off the gas after the goal there, very poor from them.

Cabaye Tiote Nolan N'Zogbia Ben Arfa Gameiro Cabaye Tiote N'Zogbia Gervinho Ben Arfa Gameiro No way we'll sign Gervinho and N'Zogbia man. If we get one of them I'll be over the fucking moon.

Cabaye Tiote Nolan N'Zogbia Ben Arfa Gameiro http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/avs/avatar_2706.png I'd prefer Ben Arfa on the right, mind.

All sounds very promising. Also really like that we seem like we want to play some sort of 4-5-1/4-3-3 next year, which I'm always in favour of.
-
Signed already, we're now discussing the possibility of him being sold to make some profit.
-
Odds are we won't get him but I'm glad we're trying for players like Gervinho early in the window. Fingers crossed we can convince him.
-
To be fair, Owen and Viduka were massively influential in how our season ended up that year.
-
Pussy. I agree with you though, and am willing to put my mouth where my piss is should I be wrong. So... If Kevin Nolan scores 12 Premiership goals again next season, I WILL PISS IN A CUP AND DRINK IT.

I reckon even one of those Jabulani's would do a better job tbh.
-
Complete waste of wages. Hope someone breaks into his house and steals something of equivalent value to the money he has leached from us this year.
-
All depends on what the deal being offered is really. I'd like to keep Barton, always gives 100% and can play out wide or in the middle. Probably the best crosser of a ball we have too. But on the other hand he's been anything but consistent since he signed for us, between his form and injury issues last year was the first good year he's had really. If he's after a 3 or 4 year deal with big money and we give it to him and he either starts playing shite again or starts missing time through injury will he really be worth it? He's also been pretty terrible when played centrally for the most part, you could argue that he should only play out wide from here on if last season is anything to go by. If I were certain the wages saved would all be put towards new signings then I'd probably be fine with seeing him go. Therein lies the problem.

I can't even select the appropriate smiley for this. http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/avs/avatar_2706.png

Fuckin hell that'd be insane. Xavi, Iniesta, Aguero, Villa and Messi as your front 5.
-
I can see why they'd want to get him sold sooner rather than later if he's going like, I'm sure they have replacements in mind and won't want to risk losing out on them because they're trying to squeeze every last penny out of the Gameiro deal.
-
If we do sign him I'm insisting we call him 'The Game'. I know it's a lot of pressure to put on him, but I think he's up to it. He has a certain... pedigree about him.
-
Think Shola would be a good signing for a team in the Championship tbh. The problem will be his wages. I believe he's entering the final year of his contract though, I'd be inclined to tell him we'll make up the difference for the first year of his contract if he signs for less wages at another club. Just get him off the books and free up a squad space for a real footballer. Same goes for Lovenkrands. As for Xisco, we're gonna have to just try and loan him out again next year and hope someone will cover some of his wages for another year. Can't see anyone buying him.
-
How does Smith get even as much as 2 from people? Anyway, not really arsed making ratings for the whole squad. Colo, Enrique, Barton, Tiote, Nolan, Jonas and Carroll did really well this year, few others like Williamson, Harper, Simpson, Steven Taylor and Best have made solid contributions too. Hope we can get rid of as much of the deadwood (Ryan Taylor, Smith, Xisco, Lovenkrands, Guthrie, Shola) as possible this summer and bring in a few quality first teamers to replace them.
-
We could do with a new right back, ideally, but it's not quite a priority for me. A striker is top of my list, followed by a pacey winger/striker type. I'd actually look to add a new center back to partner Colo before I'd target a RB. Neither Williamson or Taylor are good enough in that spot, and it's a more important position than full back IMO. Steven Taylor and Simpson fighting for the starting RB spot next year would be alright with me, still think that's Taylor's best position. Obviously if we're prepared to go out and bring in 5 or 6 quality new players then yeah, sign me up for a new RB, but more realistically we'll bring in 2 or 3 (3 or 4 actually if you include Enrique's replacement) and maybe a few young guys.
-
If we do I'd hope we'll play Ben Arfa on the right, don't like the idea of him on the left at all. 4-3-3/4-5-1 would suit me just fine, it's massively important though that we add a quality center forward though no matter what we go with.
-
Honestly could give a fuck, silly to lose a big lead like that but the game meant nothing. The important stuff starts now tbh.

Vanessa Carlton.
