"Holy shit" if that actually happens. Noone will be able to get the ball off them with him up front. Been saying that for over a year now, he'd be an amazing signing for them. Might not get as many goals as Etoo', but his overall contribution to the team would shit on Etoo's from a great, great height. Can you imagine what Iniesta and Messi would do running at teams with a guy like Zlatan to play off? Almost doesn't bare thinking about. Depends if he can be arsed in Europe mind. Playing for a team with some movement would help him immensely. He'll still blow hot and cold at times, but no more so than Etoo' does. It's really a bit similar like Man Utd and Berbatov, although Zlatan is better than Berbatov. Do they want to keep the same winning style or give the team a whole new dimension much like Zlatan would give Barca. It would be something to see the likes of Henry, Messi and Iniesta playing off Zlatan. It's not really that similiar though because Man U and Braca play a different style of game completely. Man U are a faster, more direct style of team than Barca and Berbatov just doesn't suit that. Barca on the other hand are much slower, more patient and intricate in their play and you'd imagine that Zlatan would be made for a team like that. I never said the styles of play were similar, I meant more changing the way the team operates. But you knew that didn't you? I don't think Man U consciously tried to change the way the operated though, and I don't think Barca would either. They'd just have someone at CF who I think would be more suited to it. So your point is shite, basically.

You can have a great goalscoring record and blow hot and cold at the same time, the two don't really correlate to each other at all. Cristiano is a fine example of this. My point is moreso that Zlatan's general game would help the rest of the Barca team more than Etoo's does, particularly in that CF role. They could push Etoo' wide into Henry's role as has been suggested, cos he's a better player now than Henry is.

Boumsong was alright for a while. Didn't look an 8 million defender by any means, but decent enough. Coloccini after a few months looked like he could potentially develop into a top class CB in the Premiership after a year or two. All he needed to do was adapt his game a bit to suit the different style of the Premiership and he'd be sorted. Instead he never got his head around some of the more physical, "no-nonsense" requirements of the EPL and on top of that he seemed to lose all confidence in the things he was good at and by season's end he was a travesty of a footballer. Best for all concerned if he moves on really, we'll still get decent money for him as he'll do a job in most European leagues. But nothing like what we paid for him, somewhere between 5 and 7 million I reckon.

Sounds canny, at the right price. Better than the name of someone who could move on. How much do nufc charge for letters/numbers, and what do the numbers look like for next season? I refuse to put anything with a championship logo on my shirt. We're a Championship team now. Or did that whole relegation thing escape you? Cos if it did, buddy, I've got some bad news... Oh sorry, have i missed something? My point is, smart a*se, that i don't want to wear a championship badge pure and simply because the club i love is in the championship in the 1st place. I don't want to walk around advertising the fact. That's the spirit, if we all took this approach then people would never know we've been relegated. It's flawless!

I love how it just says "Failed : Smith" underneath his picture in the article.

To be fair, if Glenn Whelan and Keith Andrews are the alternatives then let him at it I say.

what was it with his hair? did he have a hair transplant or something? From http://www.uit.no/mancity/pictures/ireland2B.jpg To http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2007/10_02/StephenIreland_468x570.jpg

Stephen Ireland quit international football because the other players on the team made fun of his hair. That's 100% true. If there's a more laughable "man" in football, I've yet to hear of him. Great player though.

Based on what? Allardyce's work at Bolton pisses on anything Bruce has ever done as a manager.
-
When did you get it into your head that Steve Bruce is Arsene fuckin' Wenger like? Not a bad appointment, but the man has never shown any indication that he's anything more than an above average Premeirship manager. Mid-table is as high as he'll take the Mackems, if there really is serious money to be invested then they really have missed the boat on this one tbh.
-
Aye, and it did the job. So what exactly is your fucking problem, you little cunt?
-
The gobshite writing the second reply is just as bad tbh. "Lionel Andres Messi is the greatest talent football has seen since the real Ronaldo, Leo has the potential to be a football legend (Capello, Lippi,Loew,Diego,Cassano,Arshavin, etc)" "The fact is that currently there are at least 10 players who are years ahead of your diver: Leo, Kaka, Ribery,Van Persie,Iniesta,Xavi,Robben,Villa, Silva, Arshavin, Benzema, and many more."
-
Not sure, but he likes to kiss blokes. Link?
-
Is he actually gay then or is this just another board in joke that I've somehow managed to miss?
-
Eh? So you think that if this guy called Onyewu a "dirty monkey" then he shouldn't be punished for it?
-
Bramble will always be a good defender to have if you're a mid-table Premiership club or lower. Take out the howlers and he's actually a top class CB, so you can live with the mistakes the guy makes as he compensates for them with quality general play that you wouldn't get from more steady, if less talented, types. But in a team who are hoping the challenge in the top third of the league, you simply can't afford a CB whose gonna cost you 5-10 points a season with ridiculous mis-kicks and mistakes, regardless of how good he may be in general play.
-
Jelle Van Damme. Hard to prove I imagine, which is the problem. They should mike random players up from time to time tbh.
-
"we're all like Patrick Swayze, ghost son. Brrrap!!"
-
The irony being that the three American owned Premiership teams have done pretty damn well for themselves since their respective takeovers.

What a complete loser. Glad to see Owen put him in his place, gingers have no place between the sticks.
