    Nothings changed

Daft thread. All has changed, changed utterly.
  2. Aye, I'd pretty much keep the same team otherwise. Guthrie's no winger but at least the lad can actually cross the ball so he has to be on the pitch, and while Jonas has been poor of late there's really no other option with Duff filling in so well at LB recently. At least he gets involved, even if there's no end product. Lovenkrands basically disappears from the game when out wide. Doubtless Owen will start though, hopefully we can give him the "service he needs".
  3. I'd start Lovenkrands up front, personally. I think his movement and general nippiness would prove effective alongside Viduka.
  4. Got 10 the first time I tried, I'll never do it again. Decent game though.
  5. I like the idea of starting Owen and Viduka with Oba as the impact sub. Makes sense, when you think about it. We'll basically be playing for 60 minutes with ten men, then when we throw Oba the opposition won't know what hit them.
  6. Shocking jersey, truly desperate. If you look at the barcode bits, the lines actually get thicker going from left to right on both sets. Surely it'd be more symmetrical if they got thinner/thicker as they went towards the middle on both sides? I mean it's common sense, surely? Not that anyone with any sense, common or otherwise, likely had any hand in designing that abortion of a kit.
  7. What a hardy looking baby.
  8. Actually liking the shirt the more pictures I see of it, pleased with it.
  9. Haha, take that Leeds. Shit town full of wankers!!
  10. Needs to be the really.
  11. I wish I had/could be arsed learning how to Photoshop. Dowie's arrival at the club might just be the motivation I need. In the meantime, could somebody put Shearer and Dowie's heads on this photo? http://msnbcmedia4.msn.com/j/msnbc/Components/Photos/050613/050613_jacksonbaby_vmed_3p.widec.jpg

Agreed. Who gives a s*** about the mackems when we have the opportunity to guarantee safety for ourselves? Madness. f***ing small-minded man. My cousin is a Mackem and he was saying the same about their fans. Loads of them wanting Hull and 'Boro to keep winning to put us down... slight flaw with that logic there like when they've got Portsmouth and Chelsea to play yet... He said the same has happened in previous seasons when he's been at home/away during pivotal weekends and their fans have cheered goals against us at the back-end of a season, when the team scoring them has gone on to finish above Sunderland and see them relegated. Classic Mackems. Yup, they woud rather see us lose even if its means them being put out by the result. Small minded, But it's our fans saying it, not theirs. Of course the people saying it are probably complete tools. I'm not sure I saw more than one person on this thread say they wanted Hull to win the next game. If we beat fulham and bolton beat hull and sunderland get beat at pompey. I sure as hell want hull to beat Manure (narrowly) because that would have no effect on us, unless we totally self distruct and conceed 8 or 9 goals at Villa (even for us that's not gonna happen). Trust me, no one is seriously hoping Hull win at our expense, you are just being somewhat of a drama queen here. if we go 3 up against fulham, then i'll cheer on hull at sunderlands expense but i'll be happy if we scrape a 1-0 and hull get beat. Lunacy that, we'd still go into the last day with everything in the balance if Hull and us both win on Saturday. Edit: Though you may have meant the last day. If so, nevermind.

    Xisco

They've both actually played less this season.
  16. We're out of the relegation zone on goal difference with two games to go... http://www.gonemovies.com/WWW/WanadooFilms/Misdaad/PulpButhMarsellus.jpg Nawh man, we're pretty fuckin' far from OK...
  17. Haven't bought a jersey in years, if I did and was getting a name and number on the back I'd probably go for someone whose already left the club and is remembered as a bit of a hero. Beardsley, Shearer, Ginola, Solano, Lee etc. Seems the way to go to me.

    Those flags.

It did sound a bit like you plan to rape the kids Rich.
  19. Hope their entire first team get injured in training the day before the CL game and the same team that played Hull has to take on Barca. They then more than hold their own for 60 minutes, leading 2-1 before noticeably running out of steam in the last half hour and losing 4-2. Honestly though, if we go down because Man U take the piss and roll over for Hull then I'm pretty much through with football outside of NUFC.
  20. 39 Missed Oldham, Reading and... somehow, Man City.

    F*ck off Rugby

Rugby fans in general are such a more pleasant bunch than football ones. It's a shame the sport is more or less shit though, can only watch it when Ireland or Leinster are playing.
  22. How is this not the most famous thing on the internet?

    Xisco

And pisses me off when tabloids have him on all the "Worst signings of the season" lists... Ultimately he has to be considered a terrible signing though. Nearly 6 million for a guy I'd struggle to pick out from a line-up of somewhat similiar looking guys. There's other circumstances that have effected him, of course, but you can't argue with people calling him a terrible signing at this point. Why can't you argue? How many goals have we seen from our highly paid strike force this season? Not many, and Xisco has barely seen the field despite how shite they've been. I'm not saying its his fault, and if Shearer thinks he can get something from him and wants to keep hold this summer then I'm all for it. Clearly, he didn't get a fair go under the previous regime and there must be something about him to score goals in La Liga. But when you pay 6 million for a guy and leave him to rot in the reserves, it can't be called anything other than a terrible signing. Didn't Alan Pardew bench Tevez and Mascherano? Yeah. I'm not saying Xisco isn't a good player, just so far he's been a terrible signing. The two really have nothing to do with each other. Joey Barton was a terrible signing for us, but he's a very good player. Barton has walked into the first team as soon as he is capable of standing on two legs. Did he prove himself a good player? Not really. Think he's looked pretty decent more often than not for us myself.
