Wilson over Isak is the only decision I'm properly annoyed with tbh. Think Almiron and Gordon on the wings and then that midfield trio is going to maximise our ability to defend from the front with the press. Definitely seems unfair on ASM given he's looked alright the last couple of games while Miggy has been poor but ultimately we're just going to have to accept that when push comes to shove Maxi isn't what Howe wants in a player. Hopefully he can be a valuable contributor over the next few months and then we can get good money for him and use it to buy someone that fits in better with our philosophy.

I can only hope that we're still being super cautious with Isak in terms of his road back from injury and it's still a slight concern. Wilson has been poor for ages, really strange that Howe is persisting with him.

Big golf fan, follow the PGA/LIV stuff quite closely. Al-Rumayyan is likely not going to be deposed, ultimately. PIF will try everything they can to appeal and get him out of it but if they unsuccessfully exhaust every avenue without any success they'll drop the lawsuit against the PGA rather than be subjected to discovery. The LIV thing has been such an absolute shambles for them, I do wonder if they're already thinking about just cutting their losses there and focusing on things like NUFC and F1 where they have been far more successful so far.

I don't know, man I definitely think there's something to be said for the notion that they were too hyped up. Man, what a couple of days. November 2008 was the last time I had been in Newcastle before yesterday. Would have seemed unthinkable back then but that's what the Ashley era did. Can safely say that if this forum didn't exist then I'd have packed NUFC in completely. Incredible time yesterday, the buzz before the game was immense and as disappointing as it was to lose, I'm so glad I went over and got to be there with you lot for it. Even today, sitting for a couple of hours in a place as synonymous with NUFC as The Strawberry drinking with Pata, Ameritoon and Blaze and his family. Felt great. Silver lining of the result is that I'm going to Newcastle for every final until we win one and that means I get to do this again pretty soon. Can't wait.
