We've got Richie and Gouffran in there to cut inside and score 100 goals from range. Even so you would need full backs who can overlap, in fact it's even more important when you line up that way. well, yes. I'm not going to defend the existence of Paul Dummett, but I don't mind Gouffran. I think he deserves a chance.

Because he's still better than Anita on the wing? If I think a player makes the team better, I want to keep that player. I'm happy for him to be replaced/sold at the right price, but either way, I've never really cared much for this modern day mentality of actually caring whether someone "wants to be here".

His negativity is irrelevant. If he stays and is "negative" then we don't play him. Else, he stays and tries for whatever reason. Either way he's a good enough player for this league. I'm fine with him going, but I don't see why we'd get rid of him if the price isn't right.
