  6. Every American fan knows that he's by far the best attacking player the US has, the only one that has that something special (Jozy might have that, but still too young to know for sure). Dempsey seems perpetually tired, but he always puts in his shift, stays in the right places to make something happen, rises up to the moment and scores vital goals. I think Fulham has recognized his value as well, he seems to be a solid part of their plans now. He's basically an American Dirk Kuyt. But worse. And weaker. I like him
  7. He is pretty good but I can't see him vastly improving Madrid's defence. Would rather have Pique tbh. Not sure there'll be many people with that opinion.
  8. Seems so. Just a bit rubbish that he went with 'easier'. Plus a future of missed-Januarys due to the stupid f***ing African Nations Cup. Both his parents are Cameroonian(?) he was only born in France, if I was in the same situation I'd want to play for Cameroon. Not saying this is the reason, just that its not black and white. I like it. Anyway, I think I'd probably want to play for the country I was born in, but each to their own. Or perhaps if they were diabolical at footy, I'd play for my Parent's nation. So basically the complete opposite of Bassong's decision. I'm sure he has his reasons though. It's just alot more annoying to have an African player on the books than to have a European/Asian/American etc on the books.
  9. Seems so. Just a bit rubbish that he went with 'easier'. Plus a future of missed-Januarys due to the stupid f***ing African Nations Cup. I don`t think playing in the Championship would affect his chances of playing in the Cameroon team at all. Judging from their squads for the world cups, ,african nations cup in the past, plenty of their players were called up despite playing for 2nd division French/German sides, Belgian league and obscure leagues like the Israeli leagues etc. erm.. okay
  10. was on wikipedia at 9am this morning. ha

  12. Um ... because he is from Cameroun? Paris, Cameroon?
  13. Why the hell did he accept a call-up to the Cameroon squad?
  14. He absolutely bent us over towards the end of last season. Was embarrasing. :'(
  15. Apparently a free agent now. I'd have him back here now we're a league down. me too, I don't think he did that badly when we had him before either. Last time he was here we were breaking up the top 4 remember? I'm pretty sure we had just won the FA Cup and collected our second successive Premier League title, but unfortunately we got pipped to the Champions League final by a plucky Monaco team. That's how I remember it anyway.
  16. HAHAHAHAHA. The Parker trade mark turn WORKS pal! He was awesome for us last year. A real monster in the middle. I remember he won you the game at Upton Park a few years ago with some real crunching challenges, I couldn't believe it when we signed him. He's was the difference for us last year, we could have really struggled if it wasn't for him. Looking at it now it does seem totally crazy you kept Butt, signed Smith Barton and Nolan...(did Geremi play in the middle too?) and never really found a suitable replacement. Well quite obviously he's better than the gash we've got, but I believe the original theory would've been to sell him and sign in someone to improve the midfield. Something I was more than happy with at the time. Shit went sour though, didn't it!
  17. you're not a very contributive poster are you now
  18. They shouldn't take any money anymore anyway, but just cancel your DD to be sure.
