Of course it was undeserved. How can you be allowed to win a two legged tie when you haven't created a chance over two legs and worse still, have barely even tried to create a chance. I hope Zenith destroy them tbh. It would be a victory for attacking football. Knowing the way European football is at the moment though, Rangers will shut up shop, play for pens and win it. Not sure what you expect them to do, tbh. We're talking about Rangers, here, not Barcelona. Play to their strengths. They were playing Fiorentina, not Barcelona. At least have a go at home. The away goal rule has to be abolished imo. Just leads to teams bottling it at home and boring, shit games.

Valbuena has always looked a better player than Nasri to me. Only seen them play a few times on Setanta like but Valbuena looks a class act.

Johnny Evans hasn't trained for two days according to my knowledgeable, Mackem bellend mate. Would be a massive miss for them!

[ Superb save and a brilliant decision as well since the pens been saved. Very impressed with Cuellar. Shame the other defenders are incapable of showing Nakamura on to his right foot!!

Rangers are possibly the most horrible side I've ever seen. Packed full of crap grafters such as McCullouch, and average foreigners such as Darchville and Papac. They way they set up is negative as fuck as well. A right back playing right midfielder in a 5 man midfield. Not one of the midfielders wants to get past the striker either. Celtic are far more enterprising. He's hoping for a victory for football! Come on Celtic!

Danny Guthrie? No goals and no assists! Oooh yes please. He scored on his debut for them and looks like a young lad with plenty of potential, I've been more impressed with him than I have with Giles Barnes at this level, he also looked quality when he was on loan at Southampton, Benitez has spoken about how highly he rates him so I'm not sure if he'd be available anyway. Perhaps I'm doing the wrong thing though, I might be better off not rating a player from what I've seen of him with my own eye's but how many points he'd earn me in my fantasy football team from what it says in Sky Sports website. My apologies. He scored in the Carling Cup. My best mate is a Bolton fan like. Watched them countless times. The Bolton fans wouldn't even take him on. He's almost the definition of an average midfield player. Not a great passer, not physically good, doesn't score goals, doesn't break up play. Generally does nothing. If u saw him play in the first division then fair enough. Maybe thats his level. In the Premier League, he's not up to much.

Danny Guthrie? No goals and no assists! Oooh yes please. Steinsson and Cahill are both cracking players imo and would be good acquisitions. Only those two from the three relegated teams would be worth a punt.

How good is Doninger? Seems to be a canny set piece taker. Any other qualities? We can do with some quality in the middle of the park!

Max Johnson was here before Soderberg arrived but hadnt played for a while because of injury. Looks like Soderberg missed out with a tight groin according to his post on Wesley Ngo Bahengs facebook page. My word, my life is a joke.

That completely emphasises the crap that people are coming out with at the moment. Cacapa was indeed fucked over that day. Fuckin pasted all over by Jerome, while he sat on the bench. He was nowhere to be seen when Jerome waltzed around Shay and scored. Fuckin Cacapa! He's shit. He was shit the week later at Fulham. He was shit yesterday and against Man U as well.

They won't be tired though. They'll have contained us comfortably without breaking a sweat.

Have I killed this thread by actually supporting a controversial statement for once? I should have just said something and then refused to quantify it like everyone else!

He's a Geordie. No he's not. Correct. Born in London, Boro fan in his youth. Some Geordie! Went to school with him at Monkseaton. Year below me. I even bet him we'd them once. Beat the 2-1 with two Shearer headers from crosses from the right IIRC. It's all bollocks about this Geordie since birth stuff. Not that it bothers me too much, he's a decent player. Nowt special.

My mate is a Bolton fan and is going to Lisbon for the upcoming UEFA cup tie. With their being no flights direct from Newcastle to Lisbon and with our lot traveling to Lisbon just recently, any help would be appreciated with regards to routes there. He's asked: 1- Did anyone fly to Faro and get to Lisbon that way and if yes, how difficult was it? 2- Did anyone take any imaginative routes that involved a connection somewhere? Cheers in advance for any help.

Anyone else think Rooney has been useless? Every team Motson wanks over him I feel like throwing my TV through the window. 7 shots, one on target. Plenty of giving the ball away as usual. Energetic and enthusiastic though. So he gets Motsons man of the match. The man should be taken off TV and put in the home already.
-
'Middlesbrough have travelled with both specific targets - BBC Sport understands FC Zurich's Tunisian forward Yassine Chikhaoui is one - and an open mind.' I hope we've spotted him as well. He's looked an exceptional prospect in the two games I've seen. My mate is half Tunisian as well, and he thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread.

Pretty sure Villa don't. Could be wrong like.

I had a lively debate with my mate the other week with regards to the quality of Sir Les. I claimed that Ferdinand in his prime was better than Shearer in his prime, but Shearers prime lasted 5/6 years while Ferdinands lasted only the two years he was with us. For me, Ferdinand was a sensation. He had everything. Pace, power, workrate, great finishing off both feet, great movement, and above all he was sensational in the air. Probably my favourite Newcastle player ever.
-
It doesn't matter that much really. Once Shearer is on board as number two, Berbatov will join us to work with him. Simple.
-
Hughes worries me. He'll be just like Allardyce and pick the likes of Butt and Smith because they're seen as 'winners' who have the Man Utd instinct 'build in'. And then we'll have to put up with the same tedious shit. Hope I'm wrong like.

Good shout. How´s he been since relegating out of the Prem? I wouldn´t mind us making a move for him. Not sure. He looked excellent against Charlton the other week. I think he could certainly do a job for us. 2m would be good value.
