Yep, this added incentive should properly motivate Ben Arfa to play at his absolute best and prove to Pardew that he really is unplayable on his day. From what I've listened to and read on RMC.fr, quite a few of the French fans do want him in the squad for this summer as well. I actually get the impression that Blanc really likes him so if Ben Arfa does get that run of games, then I reckon that he's definitely an outside bet for the French squad.

Good grief, the extremely low levels of decency amongst the mackem support is quite frankly a disgrace (but probably unsurprising).

Bloody hell, time sure does fly!

Flavio really is a clueless fucker.

I know 'the making of Bendtner' ffs. Load of pish. Guy Mowbray is a shite commentator like. Has been for a while imo.

The average IQ of the population of Sunderland.

Great goal from Ashley Young (his second goal that is). Shame he's a diving cunt.

Campbell should definitely be reported for that. There's an improper conduct charge in there somewhere.

Blatantly going to try to get Mou this summer. Are him and Abramovic on good terms nowadays? Mourinho is a smart man and more importantly a winner. Winners will go where they have the most chance of winning and that is certainly not Chelsea. Plus imo, there's no chance of Mourinho working under Abramovich again especially considering their past history. They made up two years ago. Been on holiday with each other since. Didn't realise that they made up.

I pretty much think this too. People have to remember that this is his first season in the PL so he is, I suppose, still getting to grips with the PL (especially the physicality aspect of it). He's still learning about the English game really (for example, the QPR/Brighton games were definitely lessons for him in terms of the challenges that happens week in and week out). Come next season (and when/if we play a passing game), I'm sure Yohan will be fine. He's definitely a quality player but unfortunately, Pardew's tactics of late have not been in favour of Cabaye's strengths. The long balls bypassing the midfield don't help whatsoever and it leaves Cabaye unable to influence the game. The passing game is the way to go if we are to get the best out of such a player. The fact that he plays so deep doesn't really help either, but like I've mentioned before:

Why isn't Cabaye taking our corners? Cabaye's corners (apart from the one Ba scored from against Wolves back in October) have been pretty poor tbh. No worse than Raylor's though??? When was the last time we scored from a corner.... Raylor's corners were better than Cabaye's to begin with but admittedly, the quality of them has declined a bit. The last time we scored from a corner was actually the one Ba scored from at Molinueux!

We basically have to stop them from doing their stuff. That is, we need to pressurise them whenever one of their players gets the ball, as in don't give them time to play the killer pass to Van Persie or whatever. If we can do this, we can get a result imo.
