It's really infuriating because he's a great player and I really don't want to see him leave. I also think we're not a million miles away from convincing him to stay. On the other hand, if he's set his sights on leaving then we should cash in. It'd be criminal to let him go for nothing next Summer, and his rumoured 'focus' issues make it pointless keeping him. Who knows

Guess we'll see tomorrow.

It's just a few days ago Stoke had their bid accepted. Why didn't we match that if we're interested? Because we weren't interested! Now that the number of strikers available to us that we actively seek to purchase has dropped, maybe we are now. We might put a bid in now. It is TWO DAYS since Stoke had their bid accepted. Between Tuesday and today we haven't lost out on any of our striker targets. Well we have lost out on Erdinç. But I hope something positive is happening with at least one of those three continental strikers we're supposed after now. No we haven't. The latest tweets from Mark Douglas suggest we are very much in the mix for him. Apparently he's the striker Pardew talked about on the presser today. Just had a look there at Douglas' Twitter, suddenly things are looking up again regarding Erdinç (not holding my breath though). EDIT: 6 days left to sort his transfer out

Lets qualify for Europe first, eh? Sounds like a plan like.

Wouldn't surprise me if we made a move now to be honest. Oh s***.

That doesn't make us a CL team, so no i don't think that will change his mind.

This. There are far too many of them now. Dicks 'Tired' of them? I want them ripped limb from f***ing limb. The only way really.

Exactly. Which is why saying "he's not a left back" is premature.

'Young Ferguson' is a left-midfielder, not a left-back. Indeed he is but from what's happened with Taylor today and Jose's continuing uncertainty, Ferguson at left back is the only other feasible option at the moment.

You what? He's good at getting forward, but he's often making the wrong choices when he's around the opponent's box.

First choice you mean. Indeed
