  1. i dont miss duff, overhyped and on the decline. Rather have routledge here than that irish mercenary!
  2. `Nolan's certainly got more than one dimension` his pot belly is present across 5 dimensions at once.....hes a transdimensional bluberonian on an extended gap year.
  3. you wont manage to flush ameobi out the pan....hes been hangin on to his nufc paychq for years, managed to dodge 2 eviction attempts. Cant see hughton being ruthless enough to dump smith/nolan. IS anyone daft enuff to bid for xisco and raylor?
  4. tbh before friday and the next 2 signings, i feel i am unable to comment.... what position did DLC finish in spanish league last year? They didnt exactly outclass us last night. Mildly encouraging, although our finishing was pretty woeful(
  5. "NUFC squad stranded in spain....trophys is too heavy for the plane " The plane in spain, stays mostly on the erm plain ? anyone do better ...
  6. I am expecting the euro court of human rights to overturn this unfair ruling!
  7. how do you know ireland=homegrown? havent seen that written anywhere....
  8. "shows how far we've sunk, it used to be spurs who were after everyone we were." I cant recall exactly but didnt sunderland finish around mid tableish last year? which until recently is what spurs have been for many years: midtable Was it 2004 we finished in top 7th ? In one degree its good to not compete with spurs as they must have wasted even more money than us during the last 10 years on transfers. Yes its sad that they still seem to still have a line of credit, when we dont(maybe some bankers who are deluded spurs fans!) Perhaps our business model of dependancy on uefa games wasnt sustainable. if the wheelsc come off for spurs they could crash and burn fast too? given the new 25man squad rules, the market for 25+yr olds could take a temp hit. Have spurs and sundeland prepared for the change? (am not drunk, its just too early in morn to make sense!)
  9. "Xisco is off his barnet. " really? I thought he was just confused about where to put it...
  10. one good thing tho.....if SD are doing well, it will make the banks less jittery about MA credit rating, and hence they wont hassle nufc so much about the overdraft. IF sd were making big losses then the banks would be far less open to backing him re our debts.
  11. would anyone like to join my new society: Nostril Hairs Anonymous (NHA) £3 per year membership fee.
  12. i thought campbell was talking to sunderland?
  13. i would say it was 50/50 chance of either team winning the final. SPain have no real goal threat imo. Think the game will depend on how well spain stifle holland when the dutch have the ball. The spanish defense have flaws. A cagey draw then spain to win in ET. WOuld be very funny if torres actually scores in the final!
  14. WHats so exciting about mastering pigs....they dont cook blackberry pies!! or mend things...
  15. Till the first team outing ! (friendly) Sadly in the interim we may have to suffer watching jormany win the WC. oh well, 2wks till the real team stroll out....
  16. reckon we have to score early or the german midfield will outplay us. We need to scare their defense. i reckon 2-1 to germany, as i fear our attack will fail to deliver.
  17. is uzil injured or playing tommorrow? he could make or break germanys chances. IS klose back form suspension?
  18. Look forward to Million playing for us again! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/8757147.stm fab joe cole interview
  19. i was disappointed cappello still played lamaprd from the start, any manager with balls would have subbed himon from the bench
  20. i think routledge could be serious contender for midf right spot, hes gonna prove in next 2 seasons hes better than lennon swp. Time will tell if AC can get a look in, personally i expect him to struggle to score in premiership, hope he proves me wrong!
  21. I dont like crouch played as a striker, as it lures our idiot players into using hin as a target man, however.... `To be honest Crouch is fine at controlling high balls with his chest and then laying them off, plus he actually can score goals and play well with the ball at his feet.` He can be quite good at linking play between midfield and the real strikers (rooney/defoe). crouch should never be used as an out and out striker.
  22. clearly cajun knows nothing about football, and is stupid to boot. Heskey played quite well at times last night, but he had no players around him that he could pass to and rooney was floating about in his own sweet universe. OUr problems stem from the midfield slackers, not the strikers. Only people without any football sense would try and make him a scapecoat for our troubles.
  23. cappello wants publically flogged for continuing toplay gerrard on the left. HE needs to drop gerrard or lampard to the bench, to give them a wake up call. WHy is he persisting with 442 when there are no players putting n crosses? awful management! This bloke doesnt seem to learn, he needs to start head cracking a few of the big names!
  24. SO you think that both algeria and slovenia can defend for 90mins and keep england and usa at bay? Unless they both turn into counterattacking masters (like north korea vs braz) its hard to see them scoring. Cant see either team trying to go all out attack. Unless alg somehow score in first 30mins today....they are very likely to play a backs to the wall style game. imo the grp winner wil be the team who has the highest +GD.
