just found fantastic trivia question...... name the teams that started the season during the first year of the football league in 1888. clue: more than 10 less than 20.

Seems the west end and east end teams were formed from cricket clubs! SOmetimein 1870s i guess? wonder why they chose black and white after the merger? anyone know much more about the 2 old clubs?

if i was a manager i would try to convert him to a central midfield attacking player. its clear hes a poor winger.(cant cross) Not sure if hes got enough intelligence to play in the centre tho....and i guess his lack of finishing would also be a problem. tbh jg is starting to look like a luxury player that doesnt really fit into the team.

the most consistent team on current form is cardiff, as ofcourse they have the ccc top scorer....remember him? They have what we dont, a consistent and experienced striker. Cant deny i would love to see us win the trophy and not just finish 2nd.

2011 is erm 13months away. club may have changed hands by then, and a new manager lined up....if CH can do enuff to win promotion then thats his time over. Would be suprised if he was any good in the transfer market. HEs got 2 months to get looking....

Seen the goal a few times, and my gut reaction was he was not going for goal himself, but heading back across for nolan to finish. IF you look at the replays on iplayer, i think you will find its a perfectly weighted header, to set up chance for someone to get their hatrick. Hence why nolan and him are huggin each other afterwards. Maybe i need to watch it again.....

Did anyone see wba gme vs boro. I hate to say it, but atmo we wont win this league. wba are the best team in the division atmo, they played some great football in last 3rd against boro. We gonna have to sharpen up alot to beat them, fro the champ winners title! Unless something internal causes massive fail, 2nd spot is achievable at a stroll. However i dont trust huyton to sort out the midfield fiasco ......hoping we dont stall our great start! its finely balanced atmo!
