Fully agree. Get him out, sooner the better. If it means not qualifying, I'd rather that. Can't bear another two years of Sven's football, but worse.

Stop gloating just because your team won. > You've no idea how gutted I was when they scored.

    Piss fucking poor.
  4. Those shorts are absolutely minging. Sorry but it looks like he's wearing a codpiece. Hadn't looked at the shorts before, but that's spot on on.
  5. I think whoever wrote this wants to get their head out of their arse to be honest. For fucks sake. Tradition this, tradition that. That kind of talk really amuses, but irritates me. Took the words right out my mouth, mate.
  6. It's a fair enough top, to be honest, all this talk of utter "dogshite" and stuff has made me smile though, what a ridiculous bunch we harbour sometimes. I mean, what exactly are you expecting? We have a top with black and white stripes, we're kind of limited to what we could do with it. Of course there's parts of it that aren't great, it's not even remotely my "favourite" top down the years, but it's not nearly as bad as some reactions have suggested.
  7. Never been impressed with him, especially after his time up here at Rangers. The prospect of another season with Baba as our only apparent left back though makes it worth the punt. Not seen him since he left Glasgow, really, so no idea how good or bad he is now.
  8. With Bobby, possibly, yes. Certainly couldn't write it off, like you just have. Souness, who knows, he could've sat on the lead, which may not have been pretty, but might have stopped us by losing by 2 goals. Keegan, probably not, would've gone for it, and got caught out. Gullit? Dalglish? Meh, not really "recent" managers anymore. I know Keegan isn't, then, but he's different clearly.

    Hitzfeld

Did anybody actually say that? There was a few actually, mate. Probably over blown it, I'm not claiming everyone said it, or that even a majority said it, but I do remember a portion saying it. One that stuck in my mind was, "he's almost as old as Robson, he's lost it, that's why no other top team wants him" or words to that effect. It was just that kind of uninformed opinion that riled me up during that time. They saw a foreigner, and made any length of excuses (good or bad) to make sure we never entertained the idea of approaching him.
  10. A Bayern/Man U re-meet would be lovely, too. Certainly more exciting than the prospect of yet another Liverpool v Chelsea match.

    Hitzfeld

Not so much arsed about people wanting X over Hitzfeld anymore, as it just never happened and bleeting on about it all the time is simply kind of sad. That said, I'm chuffed Ottmar returned and proved the utter morons (you know who you are) wrong that thought because he'd been out of the game for about 3 years, he'd suddenly lost all his talent and skills to manage a top football side.
  12. Same, always thought it. But now, Lampard would have to be up there, without doubt. Jenas isn't really overrated, to be honest, people do think of him as an average player on the whole, and getting in the England squad doesn't mean he's rated, just that we don't have as good as team as we pretend we do.
  13. Pish. First-half diagnosis? Second-half diagnosis? Full-time diagnosis? Star man for United? Worst United player? Opposition comment? Toon-pros? Toon-cons? Post-match feelings?
  14. Yeah... but he hadn't been getting slowly, but surely, worse leading up to it. And for those going on about lack of evidence, it's not needed, you just need use some common sense. The guy will have barely kicked a ball in a competitive match for 18 months when he returns, he'd need to be a good few years younger to "retrun to his best" in my opinion, but then, I'm not a doctor, so opinions aren't valid on this subject. I can't wait for him to return, especially now that we have Martins, but I'm just answering the question in hand.
  15. Aye. Some learned medical opinions here. When was the NO medical team granted access to examine Mr. Owen? Exactly. Stedders has said he expects him to return to his best, and to be honest I trust him. Stedders expects the KNEE to return to it's best He can't turn the clock back 4 years sadly Well said, and a valid point. Oh, and I can't wait for him to return, before I'm accused of being cynical.
  16. His best? No. He was best when he was about 20, 21ish. He never got back to that before, so he's not going to now. Our main hope lies with him adapting his game, in my opinion.
  17. Should stop talking to the press, and get chatting with Oba.
  18. Quite funny, to be fair. And I've seen people go to further lengths for a "laugh". Plus, he's hardly analysing it, when you consider there are at least a thousand posts in a match thread, and he's putting up about 100 randomly picked funny, ridiculous comments. Would take 20 minutes to do, in all reality. Think about the time we're sat wasting here already, half-arsedly contributing to a forum.
  19. That's pretty much what he's getting at, and he's not the first to do it either. Will always remember Di Canio declaring all referees were Masons and that's why Rangers kept winning the league.
  20. I wouldn't read too much into that, mate. Owen does a lot of commercial work himself, which will take up any free time, but he'll also have been darting around the world for his knee. Besides aren't players with an injury of his type (serious that is) made to train on their own anyway? Keep them focused. Just think it would be a wise move to get them sat down at least once a month for a day and talk about football, tactics, life and build a relationship if they are to build a partnership. Or is that too Ferguson/Wenger or Mourinho for Newcastle? Doesn't sound like much team building has been going on with "We haven't really spoken much but he appears cool, focused and determined." for me. I know St Mike is a busy man talking about England and selling his soul, but it would of been nice the reason why Martins signed actually took part in looking after the new arrival. I hate to say, I think you are reading far too much into this. Martins was being honest, "seems cool, not really spoke to him much though", that to me seems pretty fair enough. Considering, if anyone, it's Ameobi, Sibi and (arguably) Luque he should be talking to, going by your logic. To expect Owen to take a break from his other committments, to have a "chat" isn't really realistic. I also have trouble believing Wenger, Fergie or Jose would bring in a striker (that still might not train with your current top goalscorer for another 6 months, never mind play) just for a chat, to be brutally honest with you. I'm sure if you asked Martins his opinion on every single player, you'll find he's not spoken to quite a few. Chances are, Martins and Owen could despise one another. Getting on doesn't necessarily mean you'll make a good partnership. Sometimes you've just got to to let friendships/relationships occur naturally, rather than them being flung in some room together once a month to talk about football and life. You'd pure hate that, think about it yourself. If a manager phoned me up and asked me to do that, quite frankly, I'd tell him to fuck off.

  22. "Too good" to turn done? I beg your pardon? Don't get us wrong, on this season's performances, £6m seems fair play, but there's just so much more to be considering. EDIT: Just realised the "source", if it can be called that...
  23. Nowt wrong with it, not great either, but I don't buy this Chelsea lion stuff. Paranoid nuts.
