Are you being serious man? I can't believe this forum at times man ffs. He's a 19 year old centre back playing at right back in his 3rd EVER SENIOR FIRST TEAM appearance, in front of a stadium full of expectant fans. His passing was sloppy, but i put it down to nerves. No wonder our young players can never live up to expectations. Why does the forum get the blame? He said it, not us!

I suppose it's because some of our injuries are down to bad luck ie impact damage (NZog, Dyer, Bramble) or of a long term nature (Ameobi, Owen).........plus there's a real variety there........my impression was that the majority of Souness's were similar types of soft tissue injuries (groin, hamstring, calf etc) Bet most couldn't have come up with that answer, but cheers.

This isn't a dig at Roeder, probably more at us (fans) if anything, but how come when Souness had a dreadful injury record, he got the blame, training is terrible blah blah, yet with Roeder it's a curse/bad luck etc? I'm just wondering, no particular "agenda" here before that pish starts.

Can't believe Baba is getting a 9 off some folk. If Kalou buried the chance he created by mauling him, we'd all be pissing chips at the "dreadful error that cost us the goal" just now. Other than that, I don't see what he did to warrant what is practically a best player in our team rating. Nice effort though. Can't complain, were always going to lose regardless of who we had out tonight.

I think, potentially, Martins would offer more to a team. Whereas Owen spends 95% of the game doing largely fuck all, and that'll always grate on me, regardless of the fact that he'll pop up and score when needed. Which is debatable in itself, seems to miss an awful lot for a world class finisher, in my humble opinion. I've never been a massive Owen fan, though, in fairness. Always has been, and always will be, overrated (and no, that does not mean I think he's shite) for me. Martins, I guess. Age, potential, could arguably get a better fee for him in 5-6 years time if we hit the shits. Owen's value, however, decreases with every game/season he misses.

That's a ridiculous thing to say though. Take any goal scored in history, by anyone (as long as it's not a tap in), and ask them to replicate it and the chances are they can't. That doesn't mean the goal is all luck and/or shite. There's always an element of luck in any shot.

I don't know why people are bothering with them. The "streets ahead" comment made it totally impossible for me to take anything they say seriously anymore. As I said before, I'm all for them thinking Reina may well be better, but the way they're making Given out to be shit and/or overrated, when he's blatently underrated as it's only us that rate him, is rather comical. Idiot. actually when i first saw the video i saw it as jsut a bit of harmless banter between the newcastle and frankfurt fans, i didn't know anything about racism going on. Fair play, mate. I did mean idiot in an "eejit" type of sense, wasn't being serious. How could he not know there was any racism involved when his comment was singing the Kebab song? I don't see how that was a harmless bit of banter singling out one bloke because he was Turkish. Why wasn't there a song about a bratwurst shop?? I have to admit, I struggled to see what was racist in the video, maybe I just missed something. The kebab shop line was perhaps a little distasteful, but racism? If anything it's just a poor generalisation.
