Even if they played at home infront of crowds of 2,000 how would they pay off millions of pounds of debt? It's ridiculous the way the club has been run and they'll be dead before the weekend. The fans don't seem to care, I haven't heard a single one pipe up about this. Gretna don't have millions of pounds worth of debt. The debt is fairly small (a couple of hundred thousand if that) but the problem is the club hasn't been run like a business and is currently structured in a way that it would make losses, which was fine while they had a millionaire backer pumping money in. As soon as that money gets taken away the losses start to build up and the shit hits the fan.

I care. I sincerly hope they'll survive, that ground share is killing them tohugh.

A charity won't be splashing out money on football shirt adversiting.

According to Keegan we had money to spend in January, unless you know better. We did have money to spend. Hence the accepted Woodgate bid.

Numb. I'm going to go to Birmingham and sing my heart out in support of the tema but in all honesty im dreading what I could witness on the pitch.

Wake up people, these are the reserves that were taken to extra time by Whitley Bay just this week. The likes of Kadar, Lua Lua etc. are nowhere near ready ot be thorwn in at the deep end.
-
I'd rather have a kid playing than Smith, Butt, Duff or Barton. You presume that these untried kids would be better than the above. While that lot are shite their is no garuntee someone like Lua Lua could step up and do any better.
-
Am I the only one who thinks that the idea of starting youngsters as some on here are suggesting is absolutely insane. Why the heck would you throw Lua Lua or Carroll into a game where we aboslutely must win. Did we not learn from Huntington at Alkmaar last season?
-
If we don't pick up wins against either Birmingham or Fulham we need to press the panic button and make a change. I really don't want to see it happen but we cannot go down, simple as.
-
It's pretty obvious we won't get a penny for him. His contract won't be renewed and he'll be somebody else's problem.
-
SSN are just making stuff up. He might have only signed until the end of the season but he is definetly not on loan.
-
Can't be on loan as he's not with any club.

Link: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2008/03/06/diatta-transfer-takes-new-twist-72703-20567647/ SENEGAL international Lamine Diatta has signed for Newcastle United until the end of the season. The deal had looked to have collapsed after Diatta - who was out of contract - failed to agree terms during five hour talks yesterday. But after a change in heart from the former Lyon defender will play for a longer contract between now and the end of the season. The African is expected to give Kevin Keegan more defensive options when he is fully match fit but that may not be for a couple of weeks.

He's had a change of heart and has signed!
-
As stated above he's been released by LA Galaxy because of the salary cap not because of his talent. He's on waivers so that means he'll likely sign with another MLS team or sign on a reduced contract with the Galaxy.

Their is the mental aspect as well. I imagine more tiring to do all that running and have to concentrate on positioning, passing of the ball etc. than to just have to run.

Probobly been decided but nothing official been said yet.

If we go down we'll come straight back up with the most pionts and goals scored in the history of that division. Top scorers in the division at the moment are Kevin Phillips, Sylvain Ebanks-Blake, Ricardo Fuller and Stern John. None of whom would even get close to making it in the Premiership. If we kept even half our squad we'd walk that division.

Some quotes in one of the papaer's this morning from him saying that if the board don't sort ihs contract out he'll look at other options in the summer.
-
5 mins added time. COME ON!!!!!!!!
-
I'd have taken a piont before the start of the game.

How many more chances will we miss.
