Needs to get a grip asap. It's Pardew's and the coaching staffs fault for not making sure he's 100% fit. I really want to see him pushing further foreward but that's down to AP to make sure he has the chance too.

Ba and Cisse get in the way of each other too much. We need to play one or the other. We also need to get hold of the midfield and have players that can influence the play higher up the pitch. We've only played two games. So after a long break you don't think they should be at least fit and interested for the start of the season? because they haven't looked it to me. Cabaye has looked totally off the pace, and his passing has been sloppy and Cisse just looks like he's tredding water atm. I just think it's a bit ridiculous saying stuff like "Tiote's looked miles away" when he's played one game, which we won. We've had better starts than most of the teams around us. Why is it ridiculous to point out that what should be our most influential players looked off the boil? It's the start of the season ffs, they should be raring to go, not looking like they are still on their holidays. We won against Spurs but looked 2nd best for most of it. And against Chelsea we were asleep the 1st half and got punished. We will see against Villa if they pick the pace up.

Cabaye, Cisse, and Tiote have looked miles away from last season so I guess he's refering to them. Ba has been decent and Ben Arfa has been our one shining light. So Pardew is right in some respects. We pay their wages and whilst they wear our colours they need to give 100% irrespective of who might be interested in them. But by nature, modern players and their agents are mostly twats.

Every single window there's a much mooted transfer to Spurs that makes you think, "wow, that's fucking impressive", then it never actually happens. Meanwhile, Daniel Levy is in the background cackling like a Bond villain, as he's shifted a few mediocre players elsewhere for double what they're worth. Gotta hand it to him though, he knows what he's doing. Then we turn and look at that fat sweaty mess we have in charge.

That's a by-product of having an english manager though.
