Well done the lads with the Cockney rapist banner, I'd imagine this is a direct result of it. Bollocks, 2 banners were shown in the LC before KO and weren't took. You'd think if they were enforcing a rule based on something which happened in the LC that they'd, I dunno, be inforcing it there?

Probably the worst draw possible, so much for the magic of the FA Cup

Fucks sake, Harewood is shite.

Would deffo consider, aye.

No, not under the way it's structured (as I understand it) You and I could put in £1500 each and have more say in theory. Is the right answer. Each person gets a vote and an equal voice.

Just think, our relegation affected alot of local businesses. Lots of people will be willing to invest in a way to buy the club...

Don't know, and if I did this would be the last place I'd post it before it was made official.

Moat is not part. I can safely say this could actually work.

A video of the banner being took can be seen if you search for 'pulling of the banner newcastle' on a certain video sharing website.

Yeah I agree, didn't even know about the banner until just before the game. Either way hopefully there'll be more of the same at the next home game

How was it to cause trouble? I held onto it after the match, and at that point the only thing going through my mind was protesting, not getting shoved around by some middle aged pricks. The only reason the banner was lost in the end was due to the police. Once they came up there was no chance of keeping it. Would they have came if the stewards hadn't? Your guess is as good as mine, although they didn't seem at all arsed until it started kicking off with the stewards.

It was the big doormen from 'Phoenix Eye Security'. Not exactly then type you'd want to be getting ragged around by, horrible cunts.

It's exactly the sort of thing that is going to mean the stewards having to get involved, and then there will be the accusations that they've been heavy handed in making them taking it down. It's almost like the people who chose & took it were deliberately looking to cause aggravation, isn't it? Why do the stewards have to get involved? A banner in an empty stadium hurts nobody and Ashley doesn't care so where's the problem? Still though, it was obvious it would be took, but it was one of those things where you had to be there. I'm not sure if you've seen the clip of these stewards, but just imagine them charging towards bairns no older than 12 who had a hold of said banner. They didn't even attempt to talk to anyone, they just charged in and began pushing fans about. That's not the job of a steward, they shouldn't be able to lay a finger on anyone. Horrible c***s they are. If it was obvious it would be took (sic) I think you've ruined your own defence unfortunately. I've had trouble with the stewarding at the club myself and got an apology from the club for it, but that yesterday deserves pretty much whatever it got. Nah I don't agree. Like I said, we knew it would be took, but the manner in which it was took was out of order. And again, the only reason we knew it would be took is because the stewards are c***s. Why should it be took? If they just let the fans to it we wouldn't see it kicking off and it would have been a peaceful protest. It's the police & stewards causing bother, yet the blame will be placed on the fans.

The word rapist offends 'decent' people? I hope these 'decent' people stay well clear of TVs, Radios, Newspapers, Magazines....get a grip mate. The young children arguement has never washed with me, either. It's not a day out for the family for fucks sake, it's the fucking football. How anyone in this day and age can expect to go to the football and not hear any offensive language is beyond me. Again, get a grip. I and few others met with NUST the other night. Obviously nothing was said about the banners, but in general they understood why people would want to protest and wished us the best of luck. They don't want to involve themselves in such things these days, which is fair enough if you ask me. In other words they won't really have anything to say on the matter.

Both Steve Harper & Alan Smith appeared infront of the protesting crowd after the match. Harper was even clapping them. Maybe we could end this myth about fans chanting about Ashley affecting the team?
-
Aye, I stayed back for ages and the vast majority who hung around were kids. Was still a mixed crowd but alot of kids. Can't really say they were there to be on TV, there wasnt any cameras around by the time I'd made it down from the LC yet all the kids were still there. Cringed at some of the stuff they came out with but at the end of the day I'd take that over nothing.
-
Also for anyone still in the ground when the banner was took etc, were the chants loud? Seemed decent up there since the place was empty and all the noice was just bouncing around the empty stadium.

Nice one, thanks for those pics Dave.
