  1. The staggering thing is that most of the posts after The Mag article are either sticking up for Ashley or having a go at the article.
  2. The present owner doesn't want to know, it's his way and nobody else matters.
  3. He would only move for money and a team prepared to take a risk on his knee and he didn't seem to have clubs queuing up to do that.
  4. I don't think he would have been banging them in as much and I don't think Chelsea would have come in for him if that was the case.
  5. He wasn't bad wide left either, where he should have played last season and we might have still had him.
  6. Are people moaning about The Mag article or the one on Shit Direct?
  7. We wouldn't pay the relatively low loan fee then. Ouf course, that's the only possible factor afterall.. Good point, maybe Mourinho thinks Lukaku is an abortion of a player and doesn't want to burden him on his mate.

We were lucky in as much as we hardly tried anything during the first half and Chelsea were poor. I doubt our negative first half would pay off very often against them and that is down to luck. I will be very surprised to find out that they'd had more possession in a game than they had against us without coming out of it with 3 points. In the end we deserved to win because of what we did in the last 20 minutes or so when we were excellent. You can be unlucky not to win, that wouldn't be the case if we were utter garbage though.

I haven't watched Chelsea much so I can't comment on how many teams have dominated them or not or how well Everton played against them.

    That's surprising, not.

Our first and possibly only shot in the first half was on 29 minutes, we were lucky whether you realise that or not.

It worked on Saturday but I wouldn't like to go that way too often, we rode our luck and we won the game.

We do things during the season which should be done in the summer before a ball is kicked in anger.

Chelsea would beat us 9 times out of 10 if we played the way we did in the first half on Saturday, they looked as if they thought they just had to turn up and they were trying to walk the ball into the net. Our last 20 minutes were as good as anything we've done this season, the first 60 to 70 was anything but.

It was the Hull game that did for him, he got switched left against Everton. We defended like kids against Hull and that was as a team, not just Ben Arfa.

I thought that Ben Arfa was our best attacking threat in the first half against Everton and it boils my piss that we don't move when he gets the ball. Can you imagine what would have happened if the same thing had of happened when Beardsley was playing and Andy Cole fed off him?

He's played his best football for us on the right and moving him away from that position isn't helping him, it's moronic to do so.

I wonder how good Ginola and Robert would have been for us if Keegan and Sir Bobby had hammered them for not defending? We've got a negative manager who doesn't know what to do with our flair player and people agree with it.
  19. Agreed, he suffered like all of our defenders because we couldn't defend as a team which made them look much worse than they are. Our midfielders (mainly central) were a joke earlier in the season and that has changed and our defence looks a lot better for it.

I didn't notice that, it makes you wonder what is classed as a long ball.

Are the figures really per game?

It's a curious insight into mentality, if you didn't already know that.
